Yikes. This makes the Daily Mail comments section look tame.

I didn't see it. It says page not found. Most threads with negative comments about them get locked or deleted.

I don't get the excuse about not wanting the paparazzi to know where they were stay/where their friend lives. How does their security team not have a plan in place for this already? Hopping into a taxi cab is not a plan.

Y’all are really bothered by these two! Too funny.

Also how self important are they? They need to get over themselves. It is NYC there are famous people everywhere. Kensington palace literally announced where William and Kate were staying when they were in NY earlier this year. This is clearly something they tried to exaggerate and milk for attention and to bring into the case they have pending for why they need to have tax-payer security.

Exactly. Go to a hotel with a basement garage. Let them go in the front. Park cars in basement. Wait, then send decoy car. Easy.

You would think that security would know all the tricks on how to avoid paps - or even Harry given the life he has lived.

Why get out of an SUV with highly tinted windows and into a cab with no tint and right at photog level. Seems Harry wanted some footage for this next docu series.

Like OP above said, I don't hate them, and this episode I dont even dislike them, this is hilarious.

Taxi stopped behind a garbage truck, photos being taken, security guy gets out of the cab addresses the photographers sounding more irritated than concerned, truck moves, cab proceeds, police cars turn off at the next block I assume to go do real police work, and the cab continues.

Low stakes drama.

I don't really get why it's such a big deal to not like them. They are liars. Why would you go on Oprah and say "that's certainly what it looks like" when Oprah calls your family racist and then say the media made up the fact that they said their family was racist a few years later? Why not say "we had a small private vow exchange before the wedding" instead of "we got married three days earlier... no one knows that"? Why insinuate that Archie was not made a Prince due to his skin color when the laws say that any child born in his position would not be entitled to that title? Why say that making Archie a Prince would entitle him to security when the title has nothing to do with security at all and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie got their security stripped previously? All of this mistrust of the couple would be so easily avoided if they just... told the truth from the beginning. So I don't really get how being mistrustful of people who have a proven record of lying or stretching the truth is some horrible thing.

This is exactly their motivation. It is backfiring because it is so ridiculous.

Since Meghan’s mom was there with them, maybe they brought the kids too and didn’t want the paparazzi to know where they were staying to be able to photograph them leaving the next day.

That’s dumb. Super easy to quietly tail then. I’m sure the paps know where they are staying. Doubt they brought the kids. They bring all this on themselves. Just allow a few photos and carry on. I’d rather be photographed for 15 minutes straight back to my hotel than ride around for 2 hours trying to lose them.

So just let the man rape you because if you resist then you are to blame for what he did to you? What the hell kind of logic is this?

So you’re equating a celebrity getting their picture taken in public to being raped? Just no.

Wow. Public opinion of them in the US has really changed. At the time of Oprah ppl were just lapping up everything they said.

Harry wants his security provided by the US govt. He had this in the UK.

I think they did all of this to pressure the UK govt to classify them to get the special govt funded security in
each country they go to.

The problem is we overthrew King George in the 1700's to get away from special treatment for princes and duchesses.
