This seems wild! I didn't realize paparazzi where still rabid like this.

Why does the headline say crash and the story says there was not a crash? CNN is pretty much TMZ at this point.
Anyone chasing them should be arrested for reckless driving. And I'm sure it was scary given his family history. But this seems like clickbait. |
I don't know if I believe it. I think it's another ploy for attention. |
Probably Camilla'z doing! |
There was no actual crash. |
+1 they cried wolf so many times |
While it’s shameful that they were hounded like this, the over the top dramatic language doesn’t do them any favors.
There were no accidents or injuries during this 2 hour debacle, so “near catastrophic” is a bit of a stretch. Also, why let it go on for 2 hours? Seems the driver should have pulled over. This wasn’t a mob trying to kill them. It’s horribly invasive, but surely avoiding being photographed after appearing at a much-publicized public event isn’t worth anyone’s life. So stop the car. Surely someone had a phone and could call police? |
OP. Sorry thread title should say chase, not crash. |
I greatly sympathize, it must have been extremely stressful given his mother died in a crash triggered by a paparazzi chase. Glad they're physically fine. I hope the chasers in question are punished. |
+1 Exactly my thoughts when reading. Don't want to compromise your friend's house, then stay at a hotel. Pull over. Anything is better than endangering people's lives. |
I don’t believe it. I hope the NYC police backchannel info to the press to clarify the extent of this “chase” with a near fatal event. And then I hope the city/state charges them for any resources used in this event, investigation, and any follow up required. |
There are much better protections for them from paparazzi in England. All they have to do is live there. |
Daily Mail would have had this front and center if it were true. |
OK but can they explain why they were in a yellow taxi cab? $2000 shoes, private planes and they can't spring for a driver? Heck even an Uber black? |
I don't think that's true now that they're not royal. One of the reports I saw about this incident mentioned that a recent court case determined Harry cannot pay for police protection while he's in England anymore, and he's appealing that decision. So they don't get the royal treatment, pun intended, which would make them even more of a target because from what I can tell British people hate Meghan even more than DCUMers. |
