More importantly, if he's stayed in the picture for his kids, they may need his support when their grandma dies, especially if Kate is the one making all the arrangements.

Yes but Rebecca is not conscious, she is on her death bed. I know HW likes every one to think there’s consciousness and something wonderful is said but not in my experience.

Not understanding?

Sugar pie may be German? My mother talks about it from her childhood.

Very much like Cracker Barrels’s buttermilk pie when it’s in season.

Sounds delicious

Why? What does it change for you?

Beth has always been my favorite character. Young Beth is perfect casting. Both young Beth and current Beth are fantastic.

I really liked the Thanksgiving episode. I like getting more of the history about Rebecca and Miguel. I appreciated the delicate mother/daughter dynamic. It was a good blend of funny moments and emotional ones.

I agree!! And I think it's really cool that Rachel Hilson (young Beth) is from Baltimore. I know her dad

well it would mean the character would likely live longer.

If you see her on any talk shows, she’s in a bigger chair and never walks out. They go to commercial break and when they come back she’s in the chair. You hardly ever see her walking in the show, a lot of her scenes she is sitting. Very sad.

+1 When I see her I feel sad. She seems like a lovely person, with an unnecessarily shortened life expectancy.

I hate couples who snipe at each other in front of other people, a la Toby and Kate. That said, when couples are doing that, don't take sides!

The Toby/ Kate dynamic is completely believable, although the whole Toby absolutely has to be in SF is less believable in our current environment.

My favorite part of the episode was the focus on mother/daughter relationships. So complicated but so fundamentally loving. As a daughter to an aging mom and a mother to a girl, that really hit home.

Kevin has had terrific character development, but he still hasn’t learned to shut his mouth when making snap judgements (the assumption Miguel wanted a guest house for his friends harkened back to Kevin’s assumption Zoe needed a silk pillowcase because she was “pampered”)

Beth can always be counted on the deliver the comic relief

Finally, Cassidy in the preview??

I love it!! They have given in too deep for her not to be Kevin's wife, a great friendship!!!

I don’t think Cassidy is going to marry Kevin, I think she’s going to be the live in nurse for Rebecca.

The actress has tried, and did lose 100 pounds not long ago, but I'm sure the pandemic has been tough in that regard.
