Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
She is so pathetic. Clinging to the results of an internal investigation reviewed by an external party… All the public has access to are the “key highlights” of the review. What’s worse is that FCPS hasn’t even begun the process of redacting anything related to this fiasco - which will likely require months to complete and release - despite dozens of known FOIA requests. Best thing we can do is to call your SB member today and demand they side with with Mateo Dunne’s motion. |
10 minutes of the Superintendent saying absolutely nothing. |

She is very good at PR. These interviews show a shift in attitude to Hayfield but still no accountability. If she wants do a full review of all policies divsionwide, that’s okay, but that’s not the immediate task. There was cheating, cover up, possible retaliation and misuse of school facilities. There needs to be an investigation of why FCPS external counsel represented the families pro bono. The dss isn’t the end of the corruption. And Reid needs to release the magical review that showed no wrongdoing.
Seven school board members stood behind Reid’s full review without demanding consequences for the misdeeds at hand. None of this is okay and thanksgiving and smiles shouldn’t end the situation. |

Nike deal is just a discount to purchase apparel from Nike. Nike does not sponsor amateur athletics. Nike. Typically schools get 20k to spend. Then they get discounts on shoes and apparel. Good private schools get more typically a free ride for whatever sport they are "known" for. If your school is a Jordan school most likely your items are heavily discounted or free. Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and Under Armor often holds the renewal choices. |

Public schools are different and have multiple levels of accountability regarding money or funding. You are comparing apples to onions. Stay in your lane please. |
I find it interesting that she said the text messages that were released/reported on were different than the text messages she received at the coaches meeting the week prior. How many more juicy texts or other information is our fearless Fairfax Times reporter sitting on? 🤔🤔 |
I think what you perceive as a shift is simply a tone change based on what outlet is interviewing her. For example WTOP is very, very friendly towards FCPS while Fairfax Times is pretty antagonistic. It's not Reid doing this - she's terrible at PR. |

You are comparing apples to onions. Stay in your lane please. This isn't true about privates. They also have a governing athletic body (in Virginia it's VISAA). Now VISAA's rules are way more relaxed than VHSL and yes, there's no school level rules exactly, but privates have rules too. |

Going back to staying in your lane, the VHSL and VISAA have nothing to do with the amount of money flowing into or out of a program. For private schools, they can do what they want. AGAIN, public schools have to report or have multiple layers of reporting money flowing into and out of each particular school and each separate program at each school. A Nike deal is NOT possible at an FCPS school. FCPS schools do have approved vendors that they are allowed to use that may carry Nike apparel, but not a Nike deal. Waiting to see what you come up with now.. |

That is the million dollar question because he, of all people, should have known that a Nike “deal” is not possible in FCPS. Not sure what that was about. Only he can answer that. |

Only he can answer that. Keep in mind that he was only in the DSA job for a little over a year and was only an assistant DSA for two years prior. He may not have known, though he should have. Just the same way that he didn’t know anything about the recruiting of players. 🤣🤣🤣 |

Well, a Nike deal can’t be done in FCPS. So, I suspect you are referring to more possible side deals to only benefit the Hayfield program. Just more cheating. And fraud. Or something like that. |
| I still can't get over how they thought no one would care about playing within the confines of the rules for a team that might win states for football. Like the other counties wouldn't complain. |
