Meh. Not going to fault her for trying to do something charitable on her 40th birthday. It’s better than moaning and whining and bashing your family. She also looks happy - it may be acting but it’s better to see than the rather ugly anger and vindictiveness on Oprah.

I am a first time poster on the topic of Megan Markel. I really don’t follow the royals much and am largely indifferent to her. She was just an actress on a show I never heard of. I do think she gets unfair criticism in the press, especially the UK press.


Anyhoo, I just read that she wants to take over Oprah’s crown. What?! Oprah was a broadcast journalist before getting her talk show. I cannot imagine Markel taking over for Oprah.

Hope this takes off. So many women lost their work during the pandemic. Love her or hate her, she is trying to use her platform for some much needed good. It will probably need normal professional/ working women and not celebrities to mentor though.

The same people who say that also think she was trying to become queen of England. Or that she didn’t understand that William would become king instead of Harry—it’s bizarre. There’s a lot of hatred directed at Meghan so I always take these rumors with a grain of salt. I do think both Meghan and Harry are appreciative of their enormous global platform. They seem thoughtful about maximizing impact for charity as well as profitable projects.
