Nest level lacrosse: girls

The Stars move is also to queue up high school. There is definitely a route to SSSA if you go through Stars and don't mind forking over big $$$ for high school.

That is old news. Why would you want to go to SSSA these days? They aren't good and on a decline. The game has passed that coaching staff.

So by this logic my DD who plays for NL 2029 (which is the best 29 team in the DMV) should switch to STARS in the next year or two in order to make Capital?

Please tell us WHY you think Pride 2028s will leave for Stars next year. Thank you.

Because it happens every single year - the families at Pride in the know try out privately with Stars and make the move after 7th grade. The families who aren’t included are left behind and the team implodes. Literally every year.

These posts are what's wrong with this forum. There is no secret tryouts at Stars for Pride players. The most recent 27 tryouts, the Pride players came to tryouts and that's it. The best players from Pride didn't come over though. Same with the 28s. 1 player left pride mid season for Stars and 1 made the switch at tryouts. Neither were in prides top 5 players though.

People can think or believe what they want but facts are the best Pride players didn't leave the 27 team or the 28 team.

And the questions about who would make Capital from those teams. It's a pretty easy task to watch them all play in tourneys and NGLL. Easy to see who the good players are (very few) and most who are not.

Whoever keeps trying to spread nonsense that Stars will be some super team next year is in for a surprise when it doesn't happen.

Three 26 girls left Pride for Stars and 1 25 left Pride for Stars the year before that. Considering that over 10 Pride girls have made CLC B the past two years I am not certain why people think Pride girls have to spend a year at Stars to improve their chances of making CLC B? It appears that pattern is continuing with the 27's.

The pride 28 top girls are better than the stars 28 top girls, so there is no need for them to go over there next year.

I wouldn't reslly call that a logical move but some will say it is. NL, Pride, BLC, and Stars will all have their top players make capital in HS. No need to move before then if you are happy where you are

Facts for sure, no reason to move teams.

Love to hear these “facts”. The teams are pretty much identical. Top 5-7 players on each team very much the same. But keep pumping up the hype train Pride parents.

The rankings and performance against common opponents would say otherwise

You are talking about top players, not complete team. Very different argument

The top players are the ones making a difference against good teams. Complete or not, pride's top is still better. Especially until proven otherwise in a game.

Better than who? NL’s best 28 players? There are three girls on that team that would make any team in the area.

This will hold true this year, the Stars team won't beat Pride. However as far as the claim to top players, Pride only has 1 that could make any team they wanted including top Maryland clubs. Next Level probably has a few that could as well.

Did pride add anyone? Stars added at least 4. If pride only has 1 top player still they won't have closed the gap on the competition

Who did Stars add? Didn't they just lose 2 players to top Maryland teams and another player left the area? If Pride and Next Level's top players didn't leave for Stars, who is replacing the talent that left?

It's really amazing that Pride is arguably the best 2028 DMV team considering they have only have one good player. You'd expect Nest Level, with such an embarrassment of riches in terms of talent, would be better. The girls on Nest Level who are not 100% Top Tier players must be pretty bad.
