Ha! Nice deflecting. |
I am an NL parent and I wish we played better tournaments in the Fall and Summer. Having said that, NL went 3-5 in one of the most difficult divisions in the NGLL in the country. I agree with one of the PP that they have 2-3 really good players. I also think Pride as a team is better coached and a better team based on watching them play the ‘28s in the Beach Blast tournament last year. Beyond that, I genuinely do not understand the vitriol on this thread. |
NL beat 3 teams in NGLL play, the record of those three teams was a combined 3-21. There were too many teams in NGLL A. too much of a disparity. NL best win was 10-6 over Skywalkers (according to the USLax math). Being ranked #26 nationally is not bad at all, and there's something to build on. |
Order of competitive teams: Pride, Next Level, Stars. Pride is an A team and plays an A schedule all year and Stars plays the weakest schedule. Next Level is an A/B team and was in A as they won NGLL B in 2021. Stars is a B team. All 3 will get placed in A again for NGLL but won't have much success. |
Maybe true, but NL definitely has the best players with 2 or 3 that are good enough to play on literally any team. Pride has maybe 1 and Stars has 0. |
This is accurate. |
All due respect, why are they staying with NL then? |
They are so extremely good that it really does not matter where they play. All eyeballs are on them regardless, so why bother with the move. In all likelihood these are 3 of the top 2028 players in America. Though some of their players are supremely talented, NL is somehow a B-level team and nobody has been able to determine how both of these can be true. It's really something. |
Very good question...although it seems NL was finally able to secure some better tournaments this coming year |
I can't tell if this is sarcasm? |
Their development will be hurt if they are playing along side kids that are not as developed as they are, that's just science. Also, 3 of the top 2028s on one single team should be good enough to get them to compete against the best, assuming they are running mid, where they can control a game. |
Fair assessment and spot on. |
I disagree with this 100%. Next Level has about seven girls that are really good and could make a top team, Pride about four, and Stars about four. My daughter went to AU, and several of these girls totally stood out in a crowded fortis of really good players. So this is not an accurate assessment. Please remember, Next Level beat Stars by two and Pride beat Stars by one. So, I do not agree with this assessment for the sheer fact that no one is beating the crap out of anyone. However, sixth grade lacrosse games don’t mean anything until they get into high school. And I bet you these three teams will combine and make for a great Capital team |
Let's recap here. Based on your comment, There are 15 current players spread out among Next Level, Pride and Stars that would make the likes of M&D, Hero's, Coppermine, Maryland United? Is that really what you are saying? You do realize that M&D only added 2 new players and a backup goalie this past summer right? Similar # of new players to those other top teams as well. |
| You people are delusional. “Maybe” one girl could make M&D. And frankly, she would barely play. Whole different ball game in Maryland. Faster, stronger more skilled. Pride, Stars and NL are barely in the same ballpark. |
