Not bashing anyone. WS and Arligton are comparable. Arlington and FCV are not. The argument that WS is a few years behind Arlington and FCV is not true. A few years behind FCV..yes. A few years behind Arlington..no. That's what I'm saying.

Combined results of U14/U15 age groups in the fall (W-D-L):

FCV: 19-4-3
WS-MD: 16-3-2
ARL: 13-4-13
WS-VA: 2-4-17

Call it what you want - years, levels, whatever. They are definitely behind.

Hey Arlington human..relax..the difference between the last WS vs Arlington game was 1...breath and step down from your superiority.

When Arlington plays their whole roster equally or rosters more then 14 maybe your point will stand.

Not an Arlington parent.

2 wins out of 23 games is struggling.

If it's because they've mismanaged their rosters, that's on them, but making excuses is not the way to attract and retain top talent.

Here we go again. WS VA has an 07 who has played in U14 and U15 games this past season. While it may not be the best for their w/l ratio, it may be the correct decision for her development. How did Arlington girls DA do in U16 and above? NO WINS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT COMPETE. Spirit VA has a bunch of really talented players from 08 thru 01 in their VA DA.

Spirit could do a better job recruiting for their VA program. Hopefully they will after they announce that they will be maintaining the VA program in a few weeks.

Spirit has 08s in their academy? Playing two age groups up???

Why is such a good player at Spirit? Wouldn’t she be better off with one of the ECNL clubs?

WS VA has a girl playing three age groups up on U15. They are willing to do what it takes to nurture and develop special players.

My daughter played against VDA and they had 05’s playing U-17 and U-19. I do not think Spirit is the only club doing this.

Wins were not important to that team. They were making sure a special player was getting properly developed. The team is making sacrifices for her. Great group of girls and parents.

What about the other players on the team? Aren't they important? When did it become their job to sacrifice their soccer experience for her? (assuming that I even buy into that line of crap, which I don't. One player shouldn't be enough to drag an entire team down)

Keep on hating and pushing the anti-Spirit agenda, but that doesn’t subtract from the fact that the focus in the short time they have been open has been on developing the players they have. The talent overall may not be on par with the established clubs, but why would anyone expect that with no club financing of players and after only one full year of operation. And there are some very talented players there regardless.

Developing players from other clubs that leave because they think the grass is greener and quickly find out being on a good CCL or VPL team at a real club was probably a better situation.

Families are paying $7k in fees to win a single game? One kid has that negative of an impact on the team? That does not sound like a good situation for the kid or team. I’m unfamiliar with the younger ages. How does this happen?
