I think JimBob Duggar is a good man and he has tried to do the right thing.

Allowing your children to be molested and withholding treatment from a child who is seriously disturbed is the opposite of a loving,

JimBob contacted a State trooper and reported it. The trooper chose not to bring charges but did talk to Josh.
Josh was sent away to a program. (I am not religious but this program was one that the Duggars thought was appropriate.) Josh and girls got counseling. And you can see from the later police report that the Duggars brought all girls in to be interviewed. they only stopped participating in a case when they hired an atty who told police that Joshua could not be interviewed by law enforcement.

I don't think Josh is a molester..In my mind, he was a young teen and was behaving badly and prob. out of curiousity. I don't think he will go on to molest children.

I agree with this. I would say he was acting out of more than just curiosity, but if it was my son touching my daughter, counseling (that I deemed appropriate) for all involved and sending son to stay relatives for a while is likely what I would do. Not sure about police. I don't think Josh Drugger is a pedophile (he was so young himself) and it is likely this violating behavior towards will never reoccur being the product of a very immature brain.

This is a sad story no matter how you slice it. It is likely that Josh, himself, was molested as a child. His behavior didn't come from nowhere. My guess is that information will also be revealed at some point.

Honestly, I assume that those of you who are defending them must never have known any molestation victims. It changes their lives forever in many cases. Just ask yourself if this would have been an appropriate course of action if a teenage babysitter had done this to your child.

Where is the document that shows he talked to the police in 2002? He sent Josh to the Gothard "counseling"/renovation place in spring 2003. When he returned, he took him to meet with a church friend (who was also a state trooper who would soon be arrested on child porn charge). There is no evidence This meeting was officia or occurred at a police station etc. The state trooper did not make an official report, just gave him a lecture.

When Jim bob was forced to speak to the police in 2006 after the Oprah show alerted the authorities, he refused to let them interview Josh.

Makes you wonder what other abuse happened in their house before the TLC cameras were there regularly. They've already admitted that they covered
up their son molesting their daughters, beating their children with a rod, and some kind of baby training that may involve hitjng them if they move off a blanket. What other skeletons are in there closet?

I hope CPS keeps a close eye on the family especially if TLC cancels the show. Who know what will go on there with no camera people around as witnesses?

I agree. I don't understand how this kind is police report can be made public, when the victims are obvious despite redactions.

It is shocking that the Duggars chose to be in the public spotlight knowing this could come out at any time.

I don't think you understand. No one is taking glee in this "scandal." Most of us have known that the Duggar family has been a fraud for sometime. We're disgusted that they have profited off their fraudulent image and hypocrisy, for so long. We're glad that the Duggar family is being "outed" for the hypocrites they are - but not the circumstances.

I worry about Jana. Who knows what she has been through. And now she is 25 and living with her parents and younger siblings because Jim Bob hasn't found the right person to court her. She should have a life of her own. She is so sweet and pretty. She is an old maid in their world but for the rest of the population she is young and just beginning. I want to free Jana! And jinger. +1 I simply cannot fathom these responses. A fourteen year old boy fondling a child in kindergarten? And doing this repeatedly? That is pathological and I would not be at all surprised if he was molested himself.
