I know I will be flamed for this but I think Mr. and Mrs. Duggar handled this appropriately. JimBob contacted a State trooper and reported it. The trooper chose not to bring charges but did talk to Josh. Josh was sent away to a program. (I am not religious but this program was one that the Duggars thought was appropriate.) Josh and girls got counseling. And you can see from the later police report that the Duggars brought all girls in to be interviewed. they only stopped participating in a case when they hired an atty who told police that Joshua could not be interviewed by law enforcement. I don't think Josh is a molester..In my mind, he was a young teen and was behaving badly and prob. out of curiousity. I don't think he will go on to molest children.
I agree with this. I would say he was acting out of more than just curiosity, but if it was my son touching my daughter, counseling (that I deemed appropriate) for all involved and sending son to stay relatives for a while is likely what I would do. Not sure about police. I don't think Josh Drugger is a pedophile (he was so young himself) and it is likely this violating behavior towards will never reoccur being the product of a very immature brain.
People who touch kindergarteners inappropriately are not acting out of normal curiosity, Honestly, I assume that those of you who are defending them must never have known any molestation victims. It changes their lives forever in many cases. Just ask yourself if this would have been an appropriate course of action if a teenage babysitter had done this to your child.
