| Wow. ECNL has been around for years. It SHOULD have the higher percentage of college commits. GA is like 5 years old. It’s a baby. And yet already has almost 20% of college commitments? I see why ECNL has folks running around posting these numbers everywhere - GA ate into their market share QUICKLY. |
Typical ECNL hat, using Google and stating facts. Stop cheating! |
That’s P4 commitments. Reading is FUNdamental. |
2024 GA had over 700 college commitments. 2025 and 2026 are even more. https://girlsacademyleague.com/class-of-2024/ Stats monkey is purposely posting manipulated data that makes ECNL look favorable. Last year it was D1 now is P4 next year it will be colleges that start with the letter R. |
If you don't understand that all "D1" aren't equal I don't know what to tell you. I'm more impressed by the academic D3s and guess who leads those as well. |
I dont care either way. What I'm highlighting is the the ECNL fanboy is posting stats that back his beliefs. When you look at the number of GA commitments as a whole its pretty amazing what they've been able to do in such a short time. Also P4 is not always the best solution for players. Typically coaches at that level will replace you in a heartbeat if they find somehting "better". Unless you want to go pro maybe thats not the right environment to be in. Even if you want to go pro maybe making the jump early is better than dealing with college politics. |
| 419 D1 GA Commits |
Lifetime? |
Hey these teams need to fill rosters too !

So, not caring too much about this overall - that is the whole GA v. ECNL narrative and who is better at placing players in colleges, I still care enough to say the following. In order of importance in terms of getting committed to a college: 1) Player 2) Club 3) National Platform. The clubs at GA that are placing players consistently were top clubs at DA so it's not surprising to me that they have continued to march along regardless of their national platform. I don't see this as being an overall success of GA versus the players and clubs themselves. Same thing with ECNL. Players matter. The clubs matter and ECNL being the platform that allows them exposure matters the least IMO. Top players will find their way to clubs that will allow them to reach their goals whether it's at GA or ECNL... IDK, I follow along the mentioned accounts because my DD went through this this past year and I used it for what it was, a reference point. I didn't take what was posted as the end all be all of things. At the end of the day with college and soccer, it really matters that your kid ends up at a place where they are able to get their education, feel valued as a player and person and are able to reach their goals. Good Luck! |
Reading IS FUNdamental. Notice the convo was talking about P4. Math and percentages are fun too. Keep up. Plus … let’s not pretend the ECNL hats actually care about anything outside of P4 bc if the fight between ECNL and GA is seriously about committing to ANY D1 school - a lot of folks are wasting their typing breaths. There’s plenty of non-P4 love to go around for everyone at that point whether D1,II, or III really.

What bugs me about the ECNL hats is they coattail off the successes of the top clubs in their league. NVA clubs are not placing "P4" players consistently. Yet this is what you hear. Its just not true and more importantly its not what most players want or end up doing even if they're able. |
You’re wrong. Pepperidge farm knows. |
Most of the schools on that list are HBCUs, but I guess you knew that, Klanman. |
FVU hasn’t had any 26 or 27 P4 commits. Arlington has a couple. VDA is the only in NOVA currently doing so consistently. |
