Exactly. As stated before these guidelines must have been written for indoor rec centers. I can see this being an issue at a Fairfax rec center that has hundreds of people cycling through everyday but not at our small neighborhood pool. |
I just called Great Wolf Lodge. Park will be open on June 15th, hotel will start accepting guests on June 16th. |
If that’s true then that’s mind blowing. |
No kidding. I’m scared to go to that place during normal life and pick up germs.

Huh? Seriously? Here we are stressing (I am literally getting headaches and upset stomachs) as a volunteer trying to plan with our board a way to operate with less than 200 family memberships in Phase 2. Please tell me something that will help this make sense.
Seriously? |
Stop stressing and allow 50 people to sign up per 45 minute block and don’t worry about what they do in the pool. A family can sign up once a day. I know easier said than done. Some people above had good ideas. Maybe these ideas need to be put in place for first week and see if the VDH or pool management goes after anyone and then relax things a bit more. |

This is what happens when you put a person from the Department of Health who said "I don't go to pools and I don't swim" who's prior job just a few weeks ago was "Head of Bedding & Upholstered Furniture" in charge of Pool reopening for the entire state.
So please, don't think what she is putting out has any basis in science or Public Health. It's CYA |
|
| ^^ you only make that work if you ignore the second part of the definition. |
No (except the walking) |

I just called Great Wolf Lodge. Yes, I'm bored. They say they are opening in W-burg on June 16th and are planning all amenities including waterpark and pool amenities to be available. They said they would not open a hotel for booking if the waterpark was closed.
So the owners of GWL were told W-burg would be in Phase 3 by June 16, and Phase 3 is everything is open??? That's the only thing that makes sense. |
"activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness." Kid 1 - 1-2 hours at a pool every day during the summer. Splashing, jumping, paddling. Kid 2 - 1-2 hours playing video games or watching TV in his basement Which one is doing "activity requiring physical effort"? Which one is "sustaining or improving health and fitness."? |
That’s possible I guess. That’s still a big jump from 2 to 3. |
