Will we ever learn who the 80 people are that the US has murdered by blowing up their boats? Did any of them deal drugs? Did they find any drugs floating around in the water? What is the evidence that these people are shipping drugs to the US. Or is Trump just enjoying killing innocent people who have no way of defending themselves. Even drug dealers are protected by the U.S. Constitution. But what protection do these people have? Congress has not declared war on Venezuela. I don't understand how these extrajudicial killings are tolerated by the GOP, who control our government. My relatives who are in the military are shocked and horrified. This is NOT what they signed up for. |
Innocent?

Pretty damn positive three star GO/FOs don't make ROE decisions without legal counsel; so there's that. If the target was a valid military target and hasn't done anything to indicate surrender, I don't see the issue. Was the boat still floating? Okay, sink the boat. That's what Navies do. Shoot at threats until they sink. If you are engaging an enemy man 'o war and it is obvious that the ship is sinking, but the combatants are maintaining pursuit of their mission, then they are valid targets. Being wounded is not some sort of double jeopardy. Has the individual surrendered? If you let them go will they go back to the hospital, get healed up, and come back and continue their mission? Nope, they are a valid military target. If it is sinking, ie., is not sunk, then keep shooting. Did the boat run up a white flag or did they raise their hands or otherwise indicate a desire to surrender? Keep shooting. See, KM Bismarck, USS Johnston, pretty much every U-boat ever. All you people hootin & hollerin about two dead narco terrorists: 200,000+ Americans died 2021-2023 because to fentanyl. What do you say about that? I mean, if this is the rhetorical hill you democrats want to die on, awesome. I am sure there are lots of moderate fence sitters who will rally to their cause. The left is advocating violence against all sorts of fellow Americans for all sorts of reasons but two criminals trafficking poison to contribute to a quarter of a million US fentanyl deaths is cool. I think not. |
Where is there any proof that any of these boats had any drugs on them? |
They don’t produce fentanyl in Venezuela. |
You think you should have access to it? |
US Code doesn't apply outside US territory against non-US citizens. We're not running military actions by the Department of War by judge Boasberg. Have a nice day. |

Oh no, those poor poor drug runners! |
Prove that they are drug runners—or anything else about them. |
Wrong. |
Why are you talking about fentanyl? If misinformation and stupidity is the hill that Republicans want to die on, feel free. They only have one more year in control of the House and three years of the Presidency (already one year down!), so have at it. |
IF these people were trafficking drugs, it was cocaine, not fentanyl. Fentanyl doesn't come from Venezuela. Please get your talking points straight. |
Hello, low-information MAGA warrior. You need to read up on the FACTS about fentanyl and drug trafficking in Latin America. Fact 1: Venezuela does not produce fentanyl. It is primarily manufactured in Mexico using precursors from Asia, and it enters the US mainly overland from there—not from South America. US government reports, such as the 2025 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report, identify Mexico as the sole significant source, with no mention of Venezuela as a producer or major trafficker. Fact 2: Venezuela is a transit point for cocaine, not fentanyl. The boats targeted in recent US strikes are mostly carrying cocaine to Europe, not fentanyl to the US. Experts from the DEA, UN, and think tanks like WOLA confirm there's no evidence of fentanyl labs or significant trafficking from Venezuela. Prove me wrong. |
The boats were not transporting drugs. These were fishing boats or people fleeing Venezuela. |
