And I suspect at least 80 percent of Americans would support using our military to hit cartels. I don't think people in Bethesda or Alexandria realize how devastating drugs have been to other communities - both urban and small town America. We are losing more than 100,000 people a year because of people like these Venezuelans. Killing eleven of them probably saved the lives of hundreds of Americans who didn't OD on their crap.

This is so very unhelpful. The US has been intercepting boats in the waters of the Caribbean for years. It was understood. Blowing civilians out of the water for a drug offense we have better ways of dealing with? No. Not a step forward. Definitely makes us look like A-holes.

It’s possible that the dory was all engine, like a motorcycle’s and there is no car realistically as fast and nimble as a souped up motorcycle.

There is no one doing drug intelligence in the US government. All those people and resources are dedicated to rounding up day laborers and demanding proof of citizenship in DC. This was a hit. Most likely a cartel was not making payments to Trump and his republican underlings. This had not to do with stopping drugs or “saving” people in the US.

The US military is not about keeping US citizens safe or protecting freedoms.
