No one is saying that! But their role has been exaggerated in specific ways by the current administration for political purposes. For example, despite the claim that they are a "national security threat" to the US US intelligence memos indicate the gang is made up of small, decentralized cells and focus on "low-skill criminal activities." It's also not true that Maduro "sent" TdA to "invade" the US. U.S. intelligence agencies largely agree there is no evidence the Maduro regime has a policy of cooperating with TdA or is directing its operations in the U.S.. |
