Senator Murphy just said on IG that he got his first briefing on this and while he obvs can't share details, he said:

1. There was zero justification.

2. The briefing said there is no fentanyl coming from Venezuela, but that it's cocaine and it's going to Europe NOT to the US. Ergo, we are literally spending taxpayer money to fight drug crimes in Europe!

But the laws of armed conflict prohibit combatants from feigning civilian status to fool adversaries into dropping their guard, then attacking and killing them. That is a war crime called “perfidy.”

Of course it’s a war crime. It’s a bad idea to put a target on civilian aircraft. The stupidity of this administration never ceases to amaze. Does hegseth listen to anyone? And whoever carried out these orders is on the hook too.

It's possible we've suffered more than 25%. Trump may die any day. The Democrats may continue to make Electoral gains and Trump won't have his supermajority.

Of course it's also possible the midterms don't go as well as we hope and the USA as we know it is over.

Keep thinking it can’t get worse and then there’s some fresh insanity. And while it seems “likely” the GOP won’t do well in the midterms, it’s not at all clear that it will make much difference. Trump is not interested in governing and just lets Miller and Hegseth do whatever. Trump thinks a legacy is having your name plastered on buildings.
