The law currently allows President Biden to shut the border down. The Bill is unnecessary for shutting down the border. What it does is allow him to staff up processing of migrants into our country. There is no such thing as "shut the door". You seem to lack any actual technical understanding of what you are specifically asking for. Using vague and emotional language may whip up a frenzy among ignoramuses but it does nothing to solve any actual problems in the real world.

If the law allows Biden to shut the border down, it would also have allowed Trump to shut the border down - something he never did. The only thing that reduced the number of border crossings during his administration was the pandemic.

He is not the head of the border patrol. He is the head of the union. And I believe he wants more resources for the border patrol because they have been really put through the ringer. His view is that if they now need to clean toilets for migrants, at least give them a brush. My view is no more migrants.

dp.. but, what do you mean by "shut down the border". Even the border crossing checkpoints? Also, how would Biden "shut down the border" when there is no "door"? Even a border wall doesn't stop them, you know.

I do agree that Biden let it out of control, and if he loses 2024 election, it was his to lose. He could've kept a better control on the situation. What's happening in NYC and Chicago is a bad look for Biden.
