Head of Border Patrol says you're a liar.
He is not the head of the border patrol. He is the head of the union. And I believe he wants more resources for the border patrol because they have been really put through the ringer. His view is that if they now need to clean toilets for migrants, at least give them a brush. My view is no more migrants.
The story of the immigration debate is just Republicans killing bipartisan agreements over & over. The fact that this one was almost all on their side of the ledger exposes it more than ever, but they’ve always just wanted a racial issue to demagogue.
Biden had the house and senate for two years and this crisis was building amd building. At that point, he refused to to even call it a crisis. Didn’t do anything. Republicans passed a bill in the house and it has just sat. It’s only an issue now for Biden that he realizes he may lose reelection because of his ridiculous open borders policy.
How many bills did the Dems pass in the first two years in office that were critical to getting the country re-opened after Trump's dumpster fire? Maybe they were a little focused on that as a priority. Perhaps if there wasn't extreme gerrymandering forcing the change in the House in 2022, the Dems could have passed something, but that isn't what happened. The GOP controls the House and mandated that any Ukraine deal be paired with a border deal. The Senate carried that home until yesterday, when Trump and the House GOP scuttled it.
So let's stop with "but its the Dems" BS. When does the GOP get held to account?
