Trump is blocking a border deal in the Senate

It’s important for the public to hate the party that cuts down the border fence and wire. They can put it back up right now if they want. People need to know that only Trump is serious .

Mayorkas is either refusing to enforce the law, or doing his best with the resources he has. I suppose the ongoing impeachment process will help clear up which one is true.

Huh. That seems in direct conflict with the GOP line just a couple months ago. Way back then, they said that they wouldn't pass Ukraine funding unless immigration laws were reformed. But now the GOP line is that immigration laws don't need to be reformed?

This border bill doesn’t stop the influx. It doesn’t solve the problems but rather ties the hands of people in the future. So of course it’s not going to get republican support. But, if Rs and Ds really thought it was a good bill they would pass it. Trump is not president or elected to congress. He is NOT responsible for the chaos at the Border and this obvious attempt by the Democratic machine to try to flip the script won’t work. We aren’t that stupid. We have heard what Biden has said and Mayorkas. They didn’t even acknowledge there was a problem. Nope. This is Biden’s problem and I think he may actually lose to Trump because of it. I’m shocked to say that but this is a big eff up on his part.

What we have learned in the past week on this forum.
There is no mythical, magical Democrat who could beat Trump more than Biden. (no, Michelle Obama isn't going to run.)
There are no Team Normal Republicans who will vote for Hayely over Trump (they're all Is).
The GOP does not want to find a solution to tHe boRdeR because Trump wants to use it to campaign (because he's got nothing else).

Exactly this. So no. Not a fix. And Republicans actually want to influx to stop. We don’t want more funds to help the migrants while they are here. No more migrants. I will support funding for a wall and razor wire and border patrol agents. Nothing else. Once we get that, then we can talk about figuring out how to deal with the people here but not even interested in that until the influx stops. Over 800 people have died at the border under Biden’s watch. How does that sound? Humanitarian? Services in Chicago for actually residents are being closed to enable funding for illegals. Good? Colorado offers free health care to illegals or families of illegals but regular poor Coloradans get buttkis. This is what the Democrats want the money for and I and tons of other Americans are DONE. Stop the crazy.

There you go, moving the goalposts. McConnell told his caucus this was The Best deal there were ever going to get. Biden gave them almost everything they wanted but MAGA Republicans need red meat for their base so they aren’t going to pass it. What’s Ironic is GOP now won’t have ANY accomplishments to run on. But then again, no one expects MAGA Republicans to actually govern.
