I said it months ago as a Democrat. Okay, I'm ready for someone to solve the border issues. Come on, GOP. I'm all for e-verify, stricter limits on parole (which the GOP wants), limits on asylum seekers (which the GOP wants), better enforcement of border protections (but something more effective than a wall), and to go after the employers that exploit these immigrants here. So where is it, GOP? You keep harping on the border, the border, the immigrant invasion/caravan/disaster, etc., etc., and now the GOP is backing away from any deal because politics.

We had a deal years ago after Obama was re-elected, and the Republican House blew it up. Honestly dems are ready to deal. I don't think a wall will work any better than it did in Gaza, but hell it's only money, and we waste enough of it. So let's build it if it allows us to move forward as a country.

Why should the GOP help pass another law that won’t be enforced?
