You’re right. Reddit banned anyone who tried to distinguish cis/trans women as hate speech. Unless you want to post hard core p0rn. Then it’s OK. What a joke. |
Here is what happens when you think solutions are easier than they really are: |
Inclusive feminists want to protect rights for ALL women. |
So then the definition of feminism HAS changed. Thanks for clarifying. It’s so hard to keep up these days. |
You are confusing sex and gender. |
It has always been about protecting “women”, not “females”. |
Nope. My comment is about sex. Sex = biological reality. Gender = feelings, beliefs, cultural attitudes, etc. |
Really? Because that’s not what the dictionary definition says. |
Those are not the words that were the issue. |
I think you’re being disingenuous with this. When the women’s movement started, it wasn’t about people who “feel” like women. It was about females (which back then were also called women because they were considered one and the same). If you can find me any literature from the beginning of the women’s movement that talks about equal rights for all women (even those who just feel like women), I’d love to see it. |
We have women’s history month. We fight for women’s rights. Etc. |
That's the "1 per thousandth in the population", at most. Either that or something is going on in the US (water pollution?) that doesn't not happen anywhere else. |
It’s always been about women. The definition of woman has expanded over time. |
You are confusing them. No one is debating how human reproduction works. |
You don't know a lot about the trans community. That's professional boxer Patricio Manuel. He's a binary trans man. He boxes against cisgender men. That's not the 1 percent. That's what a lot of trans men look like. Trans men often pass much better than trans women. A lot of trans women do end up passing as well though, especially with surgery. I would suggest you go to Pride in DC this year. You'll see a lot of trans men that you're going to think are cis at first. |
