That’s exactly what you just did

It’s not a rip it’s honest stats about the make up of the team. The High school AS is much more competitive. Because it is the 1st year and expensive for the amount you get, there wasn’t as much interest and kids who typically may not make a “top” try out team were able to make it.

Heard there are a good amount of VA girls make the commute across the river to Montgomery county and Howard county. How’s commute for weekday practices and workouts.

If you have been to any of the NGLL fields, you have seen the practice locations. Type it in to Waze at 5:00 on a weekday and you can see what your commute will be.

If your getting trophies must be worth it cause that defines MS lacrosse regardless of what others tell you.

No one was talking trophies. Why does anyone care what other people drive?

I think we are being a bit sensitive. No one sh$t on any roster and calling out clubs is totally appropriate on this forum so long as done in a respectful way. Stating that certain clubs are not as good as others in assessing how competitive a tryout was is fair game. No one called out any player by name or number nor should they ever. All the girls should be supported but that does not mean you stifle critical conversations on this thread.

Where you at the AS tryout to see these other players from these “not competitive” teams?

No, but I have seen all of the teams represented play.

And I should add, Next Level was barely competitive in any game in which they played this year and Yellowjackets was not in the A division. Not a huge leap in logic to conclude that if 6 of these spots were taken by these two teams it was not a competitive tryout.

Yes, was there, have a daughter who made the team and there are girls who made it that would not make pride or stars starting lineup.

This is accurate.

I can think of 5-6 players who didn't try out for AS with the 2028s that would have made it--attack, middies, and defense. That said, the majority of those who made the team--14-15 players--would have made it even if every top player in NoVA plus Bethesda showed. They will have a great goalie and some weapons on offense (both middle and attack) and should have a fun tournament.

Def about 4-5 girls that don’t belong on team and if could swap out with Atleast one more Pride, one more from stars and one from NL. Also IMo one of the goalies doesn’t belong

I get one more from Stars and Pride but think NL is over represented.

Congrats to Coppermine for a dominant NGLL season and run to the Mid-Atlantic title, beating Crush 10-3 in the final, after a close win over MDU in the semis.

Good luck to them in Cary, NC representing the Mid-Atlantic region. Hope they can take out Eagle Stix in the Championship. I have them winning that one 8-6.
