He was a slacker long before he had his stroke. The stroke had nothing to do with him never having a job in the private sector his whole life and mooching off his parents until he was 50. Or pretending to be some kind of blue collar working man because he thought people would buy his schtick. |
| You just described my husband. Who said all people have to work for income? |
DP. I wouldn't vote for your husband to be a U.S. Senator either. And I wouldn't be proud that he was living off his parents' UMC (they are not Rothschilds) income or my own. But that's your personal life. |
And, these so-called "experts" have not examined him. We have no way of knowing if it will get better over time and whether or not the stroke impacted his cognition. We cannot take his word for it because he and his campaign have been less than transparent from the beginning. And, he was not in great health prior to the stroke. Every stroke is different and a person's recovery is different. Why will he not take a cognitive test? Why will he not release his medical records? Might it be because his stroke was worse than he and his campaign have been stating and they really do have something to hide? (And, BTW - I have heard "experts" that have stated the most improvement happens in the first 6 mo. and that after that, very little changes. But, once again - everyone is different.) |
Meh. What are Oz’s qualifications? |
Not living in his parent's basement for 49 years. |
You seem confused. Did you just step out of a basement for the first time? |
| PA Dems made a big mistake by not pulling Fetterman out. Oz was a weak candidate and there was plenty of time to find someone else to challenge him. I feel bad for Fetterman. Whether or not his cognition remains intact, the man cannot speak sensibly. This is not MA or CT where a Democrat on life support could reliably win. There is little margin for error in PA and I fear a majority of voters are going to support Oz, even if many of them don’t like him. |
Snake oil salesman is not a job to respect. Let’s face it. He made a lot of money promoting fraudulent health care, preying on vulnerable people. That is despicable and you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting someone so lacking in integrity. |
After Trump, it should be clear that a total lack of integrity is no disqualifier in the GOP. |
I am not uninformed, I am not an imbecile, and I don't see how insults help any conversation. Let's look at the qualifications for some of the Republican running that you would surely vote for: JD Vance:wrote a book that has been largely maligned as more about it has come out. "Moved" to a state he doesn't live in to run. Oz: talk show host who sold questionable and often dangerous products. "Moved" to a state he doesn't live in to run. H. Walker: former football player, likely with CTE, absolutely no experience and ability to form a coherent sentence. Blake Masters; yet another VC guy who has ties to Thiel. Eww. Let's not pretend that you care about qualifications more than the R after the name. AN educated former mayor, current LG, and sharp candidate who has actually lived in the state he is running for is far more qualified than these loons. But |
Good summary. Just adding that Herschel also moved to a state he doesn’t live in to run. He has lived in Texas for decades. |
He’s competent and built a very successful career for himself and his family. He’s eloquent, intelligent and empathetic. Fetterman is none of those things. I don’t live in PA but it seems ridiculous that voters chose Fetterman over Lamb in the primary. |
Oz is so empathetic that he’s condoned his campaign making fun of Fetterman’s stroke, if not doing so himself. And he has been a quack for over a decade. MAGAs are gullible fools. |
If conning people by selling them nonsense potions equates with successful career than sure. |
