The whole wedding ceremony which cost them $46 million was African American focused, with the Baptist choir and the young musicians. It was wonderful and celebratory. There is no way an intrinsically racist family would ever have done all that. No way.

Only the dumbest and lowest of people would feel sorry for an institution that has enslaved and tortured millions of people throughout the world for hundreds of years. The negative effects of colonialism still exist and will continue to do so for a long time. But yay for glossing over all that with a Baptist choir!

Did you know that the British monarchy is a constitutional monarchy?

Ah yes. I forgot that you get a mulligan for all those things if you’re a constitutional monarchy.

Karma.

She's reportedly been in-and-out of the hospital for an illness.

Sigh. That much anger and vitriol cannot be good for anyone's health. I hope she gets the help she needs and learns to stop obsessing over Meghan, if only for her own emotional wellbeing.

It’s not a Baptist choir. England is not the southern US

Well I am obviously very dumb and very low for feeling sorry for this family then. How many years ago did the monarch stop enslaving and torturing? Just so I know which person to stop at in the family in terms of my empathy? Should I stop at William, Charles or the Queen? Or maybe they're ok and it was Victoria where it ended? You obviously are so much better informed and so much more of a humanist than I, maybe you can let me know and I can be suitably humbled.

Commonwealth soldiers handled a good deal of the torture in Afghanistan. If you rip off sheeps’ balls, doesn’t take much to transfer that skill to a man.

For my birthday I want other people to do good things so I can take credit for it.

I love the entire thing and even better - Princess Eugenie of York is one of the sponsors. That's the kind of royal collaboration I wanted to see when Meghan joined the BRF in 2018.

You didn’t see william and Kate make Meghan an exec member of their royal foundation before she even married Harry? Did you not see her join a panel with William and Kate and Harry discussing said foundation - again before they were married?

Seriously cool! I know quite a few of the Meghan conspiracists on here and elsewhere were seriously doubting whether or not they were actually even friends.

Do you also get angsty when people ask birthday party guests to donate to a charity in lieu of bringing gifts?

This.

Plus, how is 40 minutes of faux mentorship from a privileged celebrity helpful to real women transitioning back to work?

Gimme a break.

None of these celebrities have held real day jobs. They have NO clue. Zero.

I wish the archewell foundation site had a thumbs up or thumbs down button so everyone who merely hate-watches the Petulant Poseurs could indicate that.

Eugenie is sucking up bigly in an effort to get some H+M crumbs from Netflix or other corporate gigs.

This initiative is anticlimactic and largely meaningless. Let’s have celebrities with no real day job or job experience mentor women re-entering the workforce. Could there be a worse pairing for mentorship?

Yes, I saw all of that. But the collaboration seemed to drop off after summer 2018. Neither of them showed up for Meghan's first major Royal project event in October 2018 - her picnic on the lawn at Kensington Palace. Kate never once tried to wear a piece of Meghan's clothing collection from summer 2019 either.

Small signs of support would have been so easy, especially when she was doing such phenomenal work.
