This is bad analysis. The teams may have been evenly matched before now, but the recent movement of players has made Stars and NL worse. Also, the top Pride players are not moving to Stars next year. If they were going to do it they would have done it this summer. |
| Typically, the big shift in teams occurs between 7th and 8th grade. |
There was no incentive for the 2028 Pride girls to leave for Stars this summer and the same will be true next summer. Unfortunately, Stars is now a B team and the Pride girls are not going to make a move from (low) A to B. |
How is NL worse? They did not lose anyone. |
They comment about Stars not beating NL? I read that not as a boast in support of NL but rather because they will not beat them because they do not play in the same tournament. |
Then why did two Pride Red player already make the jump? |
Are the 2 Pride players that moved to Stars part of the Top 5 players from Pride? Really can't see any of the top Pride players moving to a Stars team that is not as good. Especially when some of the Stars best players left for Top Maryland teams. |
They players that moved to Stars were not among the top 5 on Pride. |
| Ask the 2027's. Several left a much better team at Pride to go to Stars. Combination of getting in the Capital/SSSA pipeline as well as playing for KJ who is now coaching the 27 Stars team. There is always an angle with many of the kids changing teams even though it may not be evident on the surface. |
Still not aware of any incentives for the 2028s to leave Pride for Stars. |
Agree, just playing for Stars doesn't automatically guarantee you a spot on Capital. If you are good enough, you will make Capital. No incentive to move from a good team to a lesser team especially if you are a top player. Additionally, for the 27s, I don't recall any of the Pride players that left were in their Top 5. |
| You will see next year…. |
Please tell us WHY you think Pride 2028s will leave for Stars next year. Thank you. |
