They really didn't have a choice. There were clients and brokers who were talking about freezing their accounts or stopping to sell their portfolios and mutual funds. It was going to cost them severely financially if they didn't. The marketplace had spoken.

Amy has no grounds to sue the bird watcher, his sister or any tweeter.

She probably has legal standing to sue the man's sister for publishing that video and anyone who posted her identifying information including her employment details as well as all those who retweeted that information. And she'd probably win.

No. Consequences of your public actions are your problem.

Oh I knew this was coming.

IKR...a poster early on called it!

Ok, well, she can sue TMZ also. Good luck with that.

I'm sorry, are you new to earth or the internet? Because, no.

But she might be fined for walking her dog off leash, and charged for making false claims against a person to police. As she should.

You watch. A woman like this will sue. And, again, I'm pretty sure she will win.

Oh for sure, she's definitely "a woman like this." But she's going to have a tough time finding a lawyer that would stand up to the many whom I'm sure would line up to represent the birder gentleman. If he sued her for making false claims against him, I'm confident he'd win. But he seems like a nice human being and would probably think karma has been sufficiently served.

And then he would enjoy his birds (I personally hate birds and find them creepy and annoying, but let the birder do his thing)

This my friends, is exactly how NOT to "apologize."

Translation: "I'm sorry my horrific behavior got recorded and shared and that I couldn't get away with it."

He set her up, he treated her by taking the dog via treats and calling it over. She didn't deserve to be fired for something that happened on personal time. I'm so tired of people setting people up for their 5 minutes of fame. He clearly does this regularly. She and the dog were not bothering anyone. Both handled it badly but he set her up.

She can get in line behind all of the people the MAGA's have doxxed over the last three years.

And no, it is his private cell phone recording something on public space. He did not identify her.

Yeah, that what Sarah Braasch thought; and she is an attorney. They can share the quote in this headline...http://www.citypages.com/news/yales-sarah-braasch-who-called-cops-on-sleeping-black-student-tweets-my-life-is-over/488727141

You could say she set him up by walking her dog off leash in the first place.

You can’t set up people to be racist if they aren’t racist

I am sure he isn't giving it a second thought. Personally, I feel like the more racism is made economically unviable, the better.

She can’t sue, and if she could, the countersuit would be banging.
