Here is the SARS fatality list from the WHO. Anyone notice something? Something statistically interesting?
https://www.who.int/csr/sars/country/country2003_08_15.pdf?ua=1 Cases--Deaths--Fatality rate TWN — 665 — 180 — 27% HKG — 1775 — 299 — 16% CHINA — 5327 — 349 — 6.6% CAN — 251 — 44 — 17% SGP — 238 — 33 — 13% Amazing how one country did so much better treating and saving patients than the others. |
2 kids age 11 and 2 in Malaysia have the virus. |
At times like this, I seriously consider moving my family to some remote part of Alaska. Sigh. |
Had they visited Wuhan? |
LOL The Chinese government is all LIES. They will do anything to save face. |
Who would trust China to be truthful about this, seriously? Cheating, stealing and lying is part of the culture. I think we should stop flights from China. |
We have no idea if the fatality rates from China are accurate. In fact, China hid much of the information about SARS for months, allowing the disease to spread across the world, so the default would be to believe the rates are false. The reason China has been much more open on the Wuhan virus is that they took a real beating internationally for how poorly they handled SARS in the initial stages. |
DP. WaPo article this morning said that they are using excavators to tear up roads leading into the quarantine zone to keep people from going in there to care for relatives. Plus these 1,000 bed popup hospitals. It amazes me to see this cultural difference with the U.S. |

The level of efficiency is really something. |
In Moscow there are 5 cases suspected. A group of Chinese tourists in a hotel. If confirmed, this will deteriorate quickly. |
