My mother told me that regularly. Does it mean I should have been killed in the womb? I'm glad she didn't. Despite her telling me that consistently I feel I've accomplished quite a bit without her in my life. |
Are you as a taxpayer willing to shell out the million plus dollars it takes to grow a 23 week fetus into a baby? A local family with health insurance is claiming their early baby with no health problems other than those caused by expelling him early (lungs, brain, heart) will cost over a million dollars before he comes home. They are not viable without costly treatment. This poor child will be delayed and blind. I wonder if any GOP family will adopt him when his father leaves and his mother is unable to support him. |
You’re still offering a choice to men even when you punish them. I know you’re being sarcastic but sweet Jesus, even our hyperbolic punishments for men offer more freedom of choice over their bodies than women are legally given in Alabama. This is like when an article in the onion is more premonition than satire. |
We already do this. We already shell out millions for people and families on Medicaid to receive medical care. |
+1 Seriously. How many excuses people pull out to kill unborn babies. I see posts regularly in the family relationship forum about the mean moms people posting here have, and crappy family relationships. Somehow only babies born into families of perfection- which rarely if at all exist- are acceptable. It’s not about the QOL. It’s about making every excuse imaginable to have your convenience abortion. |
| The usual, the “sexist” argument about controlling women is actually leftist projection. Pro-abortion men are fine with using women for sex, turning women into purely sexual objects, while getting rid of the responsibility or consequences of sex. |
Thank you for your concern, righty. |
| Let's assume, for a sec, that a fetus is a baby. Fine. In effect, these laws are forcing women to donate their bodies to keep their babies alive. Why, then, does that end at birth? Where are all the laws that will force biological parents to give their body parts to their kids if needed to keep them alive? Where is the law that forces dads to give up blood, pieces of their liver, their kidneys, their lungs, their bone marrow, if their kids need a transplant? |
I did mine in my car in a Walmart parking lot. Or not. Hard to know if you're actually pregnant at 2 weeks. |
Every woman I knew in the past who had an abortion eventually became a mother when the time was right. One coworker had one when she had profound injuries (her lower jaw was shot off in a robbery and had to be rebuilt.) I remember it was a painful decision for her. I remember sitting with her in the hospital after the deed and she'd just had more reconstructive surgery. About eight years later she had her first child with the same husband. Why is it always MEN who have a strong opinion? Forcing a woman to bear children is rapey. Women should have the right whether to carry a pregnancy. Children as young as 10 should not be forced to give birth. They have already been subjected to a profoundly traumatic assault. I have met in person a 10 year old "mother" who was in foster care and her infant was in a foster family 60 miles away. Her social worker was ordered to drive her to visit to "preserve the family relationship." When do already born victims get considered? Migrant children already have a heartbeat and you people are fine with concentrating them in camps. Hypocrites. |
It’s about not reproducing. And the liberty of a woman to choose not to go forward with reproduction. |
No, not the woman’s “wishes,” her *rights*. Her right to bodily autonomy, to not have her body conscripted for someone else’s purpose, enslaved for the benefit of another. |
More than half the women who have abortions are married, fool. |
You don't need any excuse. It's my body. I get to decide if a pregnancy continues, or ends. No one is killing any babies. This is about ending a pregnancy that cannot live without the use of my body, my blood, my digestive system. If you can extract the embryo or fetus from my body and grow it without me, fair enough. That's absolute nonsense, of course, our society has no interest is spending the millions that would take once it has been developed. |
NP. I don't want to give them a choice. I want the man to be emasculated and life in prison for impregnating a woman who does not want a baby. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. |
