The planes were diverted to Honduras. Colombia was upset their citizens were in handcuffs and chains, just like Brazil.

Both Colombia and Brazil diverted the flights, unshackled their citizens and then flew them home for the last leg of the flight on civilian aircraft. Colombia flew them home from Honduras on a presidential airplane.

The argument was never over taking citizens back. It was about sending them like prisoners in inhumane conditions - which everyone should be worried about because we force our own military to fly on these planes with broken air conditioning and broken equipment every day. We don’t handcuff them, but it’s still crappy planes. Obviously, they are soldiers and can take it.

Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Denmark, Greenland and Russia have all had a week of American propaganda making them look weak in calls or responses. If you read the news outside of the US, it’s a different story.
