What's going on with FCV GA?

So far the big 2 coaches left for new roles, 1 coach was terminated immediately and 1 coach resigned leaving at the end of the spring. Plausible for 3 of the 4.

Recall that an FCV GA coach left a season or two ago and already is at Revolution.

Any announcement by FCV’s goalkeeping coach?

If you mean JS, he is already at Revolution, I believe, following Calle Brown leaving for Colorado.

JS hasn’t said anything.

New FCV leadership mentioned their new goalkeeping coach on the call the other night. Some guy from Norway. Didn’t catch his name or when he is starting, but they said they were trying to get him here to check in with the other coaches and meet the teams next week.

Back then there was movement of girls between the clubs picking DA or ECNL and a lot of bad blood over it too.

And VDA benefited from their decisions. Their college recruiting is outstanding! When was the last time another kid was committed to Stanford around here? VDA is the place to be.

I'm familiar with who you're speaking of. People should never be so naive to believe that a club has that much to do with a player being recruited vs what the player brings individually.

Beyond that, the 2006G group that VDA has is their most impressive group. Their performance isn't a direct reflection of being a part of VDA either, that group could be coached by a random parent and it could find success just based on the amount of talent on it. I'm not entirely familiar with how many are directly from their associated clubs but I recall a lot of them came from elsewhere.

How is Brave #1? They can't even beat VDA or NVA this season

Its strange then that everyone claims FCV gets kids D1 offers but when VDA blows them out of the water all of a sudden the club is not relevant.

VDA blows FCV out of the water when? The two clubs couldn't be more different and rarely will you find the two matched up against each other which is a whole other topic completely.

If you're talking recruiting, they both do pretty well, its not like one is way more advanced than the other.

The VDA ‘07 class is the only year that VDA have had a better recruiting class. Loudoun 07s also had its best recruiting class ever. Meanwhile FCV 07s still have a good class but not as good as previous years. To top that off, one could argue Union had the best class of everyone.

Slow your roll VDA parent. You are not that special. Loudoun is on pace to have the best recruiting classes for 08 and 09s. VDA 08s are not that special and 09s are no longer on the same page as Loudoun 09s. You will need all of the FCV players you can get if any of this likely BS is true.

It will take more than BP for VDA to get out of the basement. They need better coaches and players to catch Union, NVA, Arlington, etc.

How could you forget Brave? #1.

Really shows how much anybody actually knows about what's going on in this board.

That beloved club is in for some real eye opening new "coaching" methods.

Or BP has to adjust to how they do things.

BP will be great for VDA but will have to adjust to VDA. VDA will adjust to BP too. In good hands with AS, ML, QP, and now BP.

For the VDA parents accustomed to partying it up around the practice fields -. enjoy it while you can and start training yourselves to stay in your car for the duration. Change is coming your way 😂

Good luck with that. The VDA parents who have star kids on teams have been allowed to get away with annoying, inappropriate, rude, obnoxious, entitled, back-door-dealing behavior for years during practices and games (constantly yelling at referees and loudly coaching players from the sidelines) and they are not going to give up that power. You'll see. Parents screaming at players during games to pass the ball to only one kid on offense. BP will be able to change the younger teams parental behavior, maybe, but definitely not the 2011, 2010 and up.

This isn’t how it is at VDA. Why are you so mad? Who hurt you?

Have you not been to a 2010G game? You will spot the loud obnoxious parents from the first whistle.

What happened to the old girls director?

Is it true there is a coach sleeping with one of the player's mom? Is that the VDA way?

Would be a far drive if they live in Loudoun. Staff list hasn't even been released aside from the 2012 coach.
