What's going on with FCV GA?

It's gotta be pretty frustrating right now as an FCV player/parent trying to figure out the right move. I feel bad for (most) of those families.

JH was terminated effective immediately. He will not be coaching this spring. His termination was due to spreading falsehoods about mergers with FCV and an unnamed club.
JH was terminated effective immediately for other reasons. CC won’t hire him. ED will be fine.
You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about

the fact that they have not announced practice locations for the fall yet should be VERY concerning for the current families

They said they had fields in Loudoun for Fall in the meeting so that is not true.

Oh really? Where in Loudoun?

Perhaps someone can clarify, but believe that reference was to this spring, not beyond.

would have to be spring. Loudoun n rev and nva have almost pushed em out. I can see a push to control hansen park bookings n bollin as a nail in the casket

Kinda comical that fields not being announced for fall at FCV is a sign of the apocalypse. Meanwhile at our club we find out a few weeks before the start of practice.

Was FALL. Love how all these people not in the meeting "know" what was said in the meeting.....

Hmmm, as far as I know, about the only untouched club left in Loudoun, is none other than Sterling Soccer. And guess what? they're a registered non-profit. Could TSJ be looking to join the merger games for the purpose of weaseling their way onto some Loudoun county field space? Bit of a reach maybe, but with all of the other moves being made, certainly plausible. 🤔

Maybe the big staff shakeup has more to do with coming changes from TSJ mgmt and less to with external forces like VRSC trying to make moves. And CC and the rest didn’t agree or couldn’t see themselves in those changes?

So far the big 2 coaches left for new roles, 1 coach was terminated immediately and 1 coach resigned leaving at the end of the spring. Plausible for 3 of the 4.

Unfortunately, most players don't have a better move/option. If you're confident that your DD can make an ECNL roster then yes, you have options to explore, tryouts to attend and a decision to make - particularly if your DD is of HS age and not yet recruited.

I think pre-GA ages are ok to stay put to see how it all unfolds. Maybe even 1st year GA. However, based on the other thread about club costs, know you're going to be paying some of the highest fees in the DMV without the allure of the college placement record of CC and BP. If you're OK with this then stay. But for many families, this was a principal reason they switched their DDs to FCV or remained with the club.

TSJ Reston closing down. PE backed for profit organizations always have an eye for the bottom line and roi.

Recall that an FCV GA coach left a season or two ago and already is at Revolution.
