There was an Obama shutdown. Ted Cruz was a new senator and was holding funding to implement the ACA hostage. I’m a Fed and had to work unpaid, but I still think it was a fight worth having.

Democrats are the only ones who ever pay for or offset the costs of their proposals. Democrats had “pay as you go” requirements in Congress and when Republicans took the House in 2001 they ditched PAYGO and blew up the budget and eventually crashed the economy. When Democrats took the House again they brought back PAYGO and enforced it. Then Republicans ditched it again and blew up the budget with Trump. You are clueless about the federal budget.

They have not come up with a budget only cuts. McCarthy feels the swinging breeze of the Sword of Damocles getting closer and closer to his pretty little neck in the form of losing his speakership. He made a deal with the GOP devils and now they want his pathetic soul.

If McCarthy wants to keep his job, he would do well to strike a deal with Jeffries and the Dems.
