Tester is in danger, but still likely to pull it out.
This article shows why he's popular. He's the only member of Congress in either chamber who is a working farmer. He's very grass roots and likeable. And that's why he's won the last three terms (since 2007). Sheehy is another rich Republican. He moved to Montana and started up a business and he talks to the wealthy elite in the resort towns. Sheehy has been trying to push that Tester is just another rubber stamp for the Biden-Harris administration and he would be the same for a Harris-Walz administration. But it's hard when Tester is the only sitting Democrat that has not endorsed the Harris campaign, he did not vote for her to become the party nominee, and he's skipping the DNC. He's not tying his wagon to the current administration. Good article showing why Tester is so well liked in Montana https://www.npr.org/2024/08/16/g-s1-17155/why-the-last-democrat-standing-in-montana-is-skipping-the-dnc |
Oops, meant to also add this other article that has a new poll showing Tester 5 points ahead of Sheehy. https://www.newsweek.com/montana-senate-poll-jon-tester-tim-sheehy-1940175 |

Thoughts and prayers Republicans worry Trump blowing their chances for Senate majority
https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4835774-senate-republicans-concerned-trump/ |
It doesn't help that Trump has siphoned all of the RNC funds to his own campaign by installing DIL Laura as head of the RNC. Trump is using his own warchest for his legal costs, fees, lawyers, and using the RNC coffers for his campaign. That means that the RNC is not sending any financial help to the down-ballot races and that those down-ballot candidates are being left hanging in the wind with only the funds that they can raise themselves. Meanwhile, the DNC is doing things the right way. Harris has her own war chest and the remains of the Biden-Harris war chest for her campaign. And DNC is using their money to help support Democratic candidates down-ballot to augment what they are raising on their own. And so the down-ballot Democrats are able to run effective campaigns to get elected. Why do the DNC have more money all around? Because they didn't nominate a convicted felon who had 91 judicial charges to defend in court. |

My prediction is for Harris to win the presidency but house and Senate won't have a democrat majority reason being many people feel Trump isn't fit for presidency but they aren't fully in agreement with Democrats or Republicans that matter a Purple Congress would force what average Americans view as moderate.

I am close to you. I expect that Harris will win the White House, the Republicans will widen their margin slightly in the House, but I think the Senate will end up 50-50 with WV going to the Republicans. So, Walz will be President of the Senate and will likely be as busy as Harris was the first two years as President of the Senate. |
The House has a number of open, non-gerrymandered seats which are more likely to go to the Dems. That alone should flip the House. Add to it Dobbs and a general anti-GOP backlash and the damage may be more. On the Senate side, the Dems will obviously lose West Virginia (Manchin's seat) but are likely to hold the rest, resulting in a 50-50 tie. if they get lucky and can flip Scott in Florida or Cruz in Texas, then bonus. Not likely, but also not outside the realm of possibility. |
I think this is likely it I could see Democrats getting a majority if the Republican option is Maga, I can see people voting Democrat to get rid of Maga seats If that happens I predict it will swing red again during midterm if there are more traditional gop options |
I don't think there is a circumstance where Harris wins, and the Democrats lose the House. The senate is a tougher haul, and they'd be lucky to come out of it at 50-50. |
+1. Good for us that the GOP doesn’t have the spine to tell the Trump family to stop using its RNC funds as their own personal legal slush fund |
MAGA who won't stop nominating a felon convicted of falsifying business records should not be surprised that he is embezzling all of the political funds. They deserve what they get if they nominate a man who would steal from his own family (which he has done multiple times). They deserve to lose the down ballot races because the picked a narcissistic man who only thinks of himself and steals from the party and leaves his down ballot colleagues high and dry. Trump will be responsible for the loss of one or both chambers of Congress. |
CNN did an interview tonight with the R mayor of mesa who is encouraging republicans and independents in az to vote Harris. He’s appalled by Trump and Lake and says there are many who agree with him. |
His DNC speech tonight was great. Short and to the point. |
