Team with only the race card to play strikes again. The fact this is the only card that continues to be played speaks volumes.

White supremacy was a thing years ago, but today's racism is different. The cheating by Overton and his people makes them victims, but the white preppy AD had to flee the country to avoid hanging. Welcome to 2024.

You are actually saying that now in 2024, racism against black people is a thing of the past and the new victim of racism is the poor white male? You are absolutely delusional. White privelege on full display right here.

DP. From what I’ve heard, many in the Hayfield community do not think very highly of the director of activities who abruptly resigned and fled overseas.

That’s an accurate statement on him. Ive got a buddy who works there and AD was unpopular. But the school
Principal is also pretty unpopular and runs a good old boys type network too

He’s not a good old boy so that’s not possible.

You’re pretty dense. Everything about this situation indicates that people wanted to please Thompson and those who got in his way like the DSS who raised questions got shoved aside.

What a pathetic excuse for a school Hayfield is now.

14 guesses….

There were 31 transfers so thats 31 possibilities

DP. Only 14 claimed to be homeless.

Only 2 did. Go back and read. Or google the FXTimes article

So did the other 29 claim to live with a grandparent or aunt or friend? And was the original investigation from back in August a complete and utter lie?

Most of the Hayfield community, parents, and students are ashamed and embarrassed. Not sure why Overton with his coaching pedigree couldn’t build up a legit powerhouse program over a couple years to be proud of but instead felt he had to cheat and a small group around him drank the kool aid. Sorry! Go Hawks!

The other school board members need to be accountable. If I lived in Robinson pyramid , would def organize a petition to remove that SB member if they are supporting Reid

With 29, there are variations of what happened. Some families flat out moved (they were renting, lease was up, so they moved to Kingstowne). Others switched custody from one parent in Freedoms district to another parent in Hayfields district. Those are probably legal from a residency standpoint.

Then there are the 5 registered to a single address (referenced in the Hayfield letter to VHSL). And the fake homeless (mentioned in Fairfax Times article).

But don’t get distracted by the few parents who insist their move complied with residency requirements. Under VHSL rules, the mass moves violated the recruitment rule, regardless of whether each individual circumstance had a cover story.

Well how highly does the white community think of him?

Yet another Hayfraud cuck trying to make this a racial issue rather than acknowledging that they’re unfit parents.

Hey look, someone commenting who doesn’t fully understand the terminology being used…

To your first sentence: No.
To your second sentence: Yes.

For the custody switchers, the child actually has to live with the new parent.

Vhsl requires the entire family to move and establish their new residence in the district. I doubt everyone did that.

So when Reid stood up at that meeting in August and said everything was legit and the coach and principal had her full confidence, she knew that multiple football transfers had claimed to be homeless and that five kids all claimed the same address....

BTW, I love this line: "marking the first resignation in a growing scandal..."

Asra knows she's going to spill the dirt on everyone and is just biding her time...

A Nike contract?!? for a public HS?

An exclusive deal is highly unusual for a public high school. Possibly illegal? Maybe. But not 100% sure.

Lol

I think the students at the St. John’s Academy in NW DC (independent high school) are only allowed to wear Under Amor gear due to the exclusive deal with the company’s CEO who is an alum. That’s one of the problems with these exclusive athletic sponsorships at the prep school level.

The athletes at Hayfield can wear whatever shoes, etc that they want to wear. The Nike deal, to my knowledge, just means they are buying all the athletic teams Nike uniforms.

Of course, the football, baseball and boys basketball teams were the first to get them I am told.

What about Cross Country/Track, Softball, Lacrosse, dive, gymnastics, etc? If Nike is paying, all Hayfield sports should get equal investment.

Read man, it didn’t say they weren’t getting them, it only said the sports that bring in the most money gets or got them first. May not be fair but also depending on when the other sports start is when they order uniforms (fall/spring)

I teach in LCPS and Scott Ziegler went down for less than this a couple years ago. I don’t see how Reid gets through this without resigning or the school board pushing her out. It affects every single athletic team that Hayfield plays, involves falsifying data tied to federal funding, runs afoul of multiple VHSL regulations, and calls into question the entirety of the county’s residency numbers. She really should not continue as superintendent.

Huh? Ziegler went down for covering up sexual assaults. That’s less than this?
