I would contact the TD, Ryan Rich. He's usually very responsive and, if he doesn't know, he'll get you with who does. ryan.rich@alexandria-soccer.org

U12-U13 do not travel nearly as much as the older age groups so adjust to 3400-5k???

FYI. Mid-season transfers to a different Club in same league need approval. NCSL, CCL have bans about players transferring to a new team which plays in same league as old team.

Unless it's a new player moving to the DC area--finish out the Season and tryout in the Spring.

Exceptions can be made in the cases like the family moved.

Thanks -- the players are new to the area, so not a local switch of teams.

CCL has a ban because they play a 10-month schedule, so this time of year is technically "mid-season"

NCSL has two seasons, fall and spring, so transfers should be allowed in this "off-season" to my knowledge unless they changed their rules this year

can you share what other website?

Anonymous wrote:Has anyone gone to one of the Spirit ID clinics yet? Someone on another website reported rather dismal numbers at the clinic this weekend. Also said the cost would be about $7000. (VDA says it will charge ~$2500 plus travel costs).

Can anyone who attended let us know if this is accurate?

No. The contract players sign for Clubs is 1-year (generally May/June prior year-until end of season following year). I have yet to see a player sign with a Club that does not specifically ban a transfer within the year (Fall-Spring). Not sure with respect to what NCSL allows---but our club contract recites we can't make that transfer.

You can transfer over the winter in NCSL to another NCSL club. Steps taken were...Talk to the coach. Talk to the team manager. Contact the club's travel registrar. The travel registrar emailed VYSA to release the kid from the club's roster. You'll get an email from VYSA saying that the kid was released from the club. Contact the new club and let them know that your kid was released. The new club can then add your kid to their roster. I'm sure the current club can make it difficult, but if they don't, it takes very little time.

Yes, you can pay $150-$200 to play neighborhood rec, $300-$400 to play challenge rec, $1200 to play competitive local travel, $2500 to play competitive Regional travel or up to $7000 to play competitive national/regional travel.

There is something for everyone.

Is Challenge Rec ODSL? I think $1200 for regular travel like NCSL is a more expensive than that.
