Rather than taking the girls you have and developing them, coaches are just trying to take from others for super teams. I get people come and go, but 5-8 at once? And look where it got BSC. They keep adding transfers, disrupt their chemistry, and get worse every year.

As I look at colleges, I’d rather my daughter go to the school that will develop her and where she will be with the same girls for years, than the one taking five transfers. Is it a lot to ask the same thing of my ECNL U16 team? Sure, let girls play wherever they want (or, rather, where their parents want them to play), but it’s got to be more transparent for everyone. I’m sure a lot of families on both teams would have made different choices if they knew this was all happening.

Didn’t FVU poach a bunch of McLean players. All in the game. Put your big boy pants on buttercup and stop whining about players that don’t want to be at your horrible club.

Fairfax Virginia Union poached an entire team from McLean.

Weird thng to say. Fairfax Virginia Union WAS McLean, VYS and BRYC. How can they poach an entire team from McLean when that team plays for the club with McLean as a member?

McLean 2013 all went to Union. They’re not playing for McLean. That’s poaching isn’t it?

Again. This post doesn’t know what poaching means. The girls choosing to play for a more competitive league isn’t poaching. No matter what the GA hats are pushing. The facts that top ECNL girls are staying ECNL and the GA kids that can transition to ECNL are, doesn’t fit their narrative. This does not equal poaching. What this means is that the kids have realized that MLSN2 and GA are now the equivalent of NCSL because of their over expansion. Not poaching, just smart. Not to say that ARL or Beth won’t go GA next season, they might, but that just consolidates the top kids in ECNL and adds to the dilution of MLSN and GA. Welcome new NCSL, enjoy your over dilution.

uhhh u better save ur money for suing ecnl. Who has deep pockets for discovery.

Hopefully u get us transfer portals if ur really successful. If not……, ooops

This whole sueing/ filing an agrievance is nonsense. FVU is totally at fault for not rehiring their most successful coaches. Are you kidding me that kids voluntarily followed good coaches…. Of course they did. Best practices = retaining good coaches or watching the kids follow them. The chefs kiss of this is remembering all the SYC and Brave parents complaining about these coaches all season and at Nationals on these boards. Now get what you deserve. Maybe next time stop being such sh|ts and this wouldn’t happen to you…

FVU/FXU/Brave 2.0 is a s#itshow, no argument. But why did parents commit when it was known that those coaches were not being retained? FVU posted a coaching slate on March 1st with CW/MV/JA as the 2010 coaches. Anybody with a clue realized that meant MV would be running the show, and why would you commit to that?

BRAVE 2.0 is an absolute sh$show especially the 2010s. JA decided to run away. CW has had to tell 2010 parents that MW will not cover the team when he misses. Imagine how dysfunctional your club has to be when parents are fighting to keep the ECNL Director from helping with your team.

NM, just stay in MD. Haven’t you done enough to the law families? Also, how many clubs are you coaching in now? Finally just one?

what you feel. And what is reality are two different things.

Next time sounds like revenge talk. After reading the rules my guess is they/commish will lean in so much that there will not be a next time. Depends how much they want to make an example of this situation and the people involved.

smart thing to do would have been to talk to both clubs as an adult so there could have been controlled demolition and respect going back and forth. Coaching changes happen before during and after the season. Doesn’t change the terms selected and signed for in the system.

Is this mid season? I thought the season hasn’t even begun.

It is in season, and very clear in the ECNL rules and dates

Rules say season starts August 1. Based on the first day of this thread sounds like it happened before the season started.

"The 2025-26 passcards and registrations for the new season became valid on July 1, 2025." The competitive season begins Aug 1. Recruitment of registered players in another club are its own further ECNL violations.

This doesn't make sense. Cards expire on July 31.

The point everyone seems to be missing is that ECNL Admin are not afraid to hand out punishments…

Look at what happened to PDA last season for abusing the Discovery player rule. All games were forfeit and the team did not go to playoffs despite its record.

If I had to make an assumption I think we will see the teams that are in question, likely be ineligible for Playoffs/Showcase at the end of the year. On the bright side, at least families will save thousands not going. On the ugly side, that event is a major event for college recruiting which sucks for 09s, 10s, and the very top 11s.

Tough situation for ECNL teatering on switching to GA. Rumors are already swirling about PDA being fed up with ECNL heads as well.

My other assumption is nothing will be done. Too much to risk if ECNL wants to keep Bethesda girls and not add another enemy like PDA.

Being outside the box, I find this situation VERY intriguing!

Resorting to lies again? JA has not left Union. It's an easy enough thing to verify.

Rumor is that he is working as a consultant for Virginia Union. So please do verify??!!

i agree. Watching this very closely as it really is a poker game moment for ECNL. Do they blink?! If they blink and nothing happens then all clubs can do this and GA may actually have Ecnl worried.

PDA going ga/mlsn would be a major shift. Not sure about bsc as they have one grandfathered foot out the door.
