Lower school is remote Fridays. That's great 7th grade is off to a 5 day a week start! |
Burgundy knocked it out of the park today for our early elementary class! |
Awesome! What worked well? |
Middle school was also good! One major improvement over the spring is that it seems more organized / it's easier for my kid to navigate the links and figure out where he's supposed to be. |
Ah, 7th is remote all five days, but has synchronous classes every day. |
Everything was well organized and we didn't have any tech issues. The teachers and content were extremely engaging, so much so that my young child was very enthusiastic about it the entire time. Hopefully the excitement doesn't wear off! |
How nice for you. My kids are in EL and continue to hate DL at Burgundy. |
Hope it’s worth 35K |
Wrong terminology. I meant asynchronous Fridays in lower school. Not remote. It's remote except for the + activity each week. |
They switched the middle school math curriculum to a homeschooling online program. The kids watch recorded lectures and do online math problems. Anyone know why? |
No clue, but my kid loves that set-up. We used a similar program for summer bridge work, and it was great. (Almost makes me wonder why we're at Burgundy instead of doing an online homeschool, but hey, hindsight is 20/20....) |
What, exactly, are the math teachers doing then? |
+1 |
Right, but my son is at a public middle school, and he's enthusiastic about the virtual learning right now as well. Which makes me wonder why I am spending 35K for my daughter to go to Burgundy right now. |
Yes. The DL at Burgundy is fine but it’s not 35K fine. |
