One of his biggest selling points for Portia is that he’s not non-binary, lol. |
I thought he said he was from Essex. |
Ew to using “gay” as a noun. |
Did Cameron plant that wrapper? |
Asked and answered. Cam hooked up with Lucia on the sofa and left the wrapper there. He did not “plant” it. |
DP. I think he did. |
Yeah. He was wasted. It wasn’t his room so he didn’t need to do a “sweep”. He didn’t care. |
Lost me at associating being working class with being a rapist. You are definitely not the target audience for the show or get the very essence of the show if you have an attitude like that. Harvey Weinstein and Epstein anyone? |
In PPs head, all the poors are the same… and rapists apparently. |
Yes - Luc! He's my favorite character on EiP |
I think she trusts Ethan deep down too, but I don’t understand not confronting him about it. It’s a hotel not his personal home. It would be possible for that to be left over in the seat cushions from the last hotel guests, for example. I half expected Ethan to find the wrapper in her makeup kit or whatever she stashed it in, and for the misunderstanding to deepen that way. |
I couldn’t place him! Thanks. |
I am confident he did plant it - he's trying to drive a wedge between Harper and Ethan. Not sure why yet - if it's some play to ruin Ethan, or what. I 1000000% see why Portia wanted to hook up with the nephew guy. She was looking to be thrown against a wall on this trip - remember? I don't think she's considering who she wants to marry and have children with - she's in this weird hotel in this beautiful place, but having a boring time so far. She wants to not be sad and bored. She must have some backstory we don't know yet - it can't just be that she's an unhappy personal assistant, the end. Poor Albie. Who knows - maybe he and Lucia will geniunely fall in love. I feel like Christopher - sorry, Dominic - just isn't giving us very much. Sort of, one expression, one note - sad, sad, a little sad and mad, sad. I don't know if that's the character being underwritten, the limitations of the actor, or what. He's being written to have no charisma, and that's just not what I want from Christopher Moltisanti! I like the grandad character. His riff about finding Mia and Lucia in his room was very funny and human. |

I think we will find out there was some kind of incident between Cameron and Ethan when they were roommates. Maybe some kind of hazing ritual, or Cameron doing something really awful while drunk, or maybe something worse. One theory I have is that Ethan is bi and Cameron suspected it, came onto Ethan in order to get it confirmed, and then Cameron revealed it was all a ruse to find out if Ethan would be into it and now Cameron uses this incident as silent blackmail against Ethan. And maybe that's why Ethan didn't feel like he could bail on the night with Ethan while the girls were gone, and why he is following "bro code" and not just telling Harper what happened since he didn't do anything wrong.
But I also think Harper is very sharp and might be sniffing this out. She has already noticed that Ethan acts different around Cameron and she knows he lied about the night with Cameron, but she's being very methodical in how she draws it out of him. I think she might intuitively understand the whole situation but she knows that the only way to protect her marriage is if Ethan tells her himself. I think she'd be fine with him being bi and also more than happy to help Ethan find a way to flip the tables on Cameron, but she needs Ethan to come clean with her, not just about the night at the hotel but about his whole past with Cameron. I could be totally off base but that's how I'm reading what appears to be obvious subtext in that relationship. |
| ^also I had to rewrite this comment like four times to avoid using one of the words "forbidden" by the website, so if it sounds like I'm being vague or euphemistic, that's why! |
