2027 Girls Lacrosse

Some Stars players will make the team. I'm not sure everyone here has experienced how things work. It is a fallacy to think a team will only take the best players (even if that makes sense for the future). Some 2027s specifically went to Stars after intense talks with KJ, and assurances that she will do whatever she can to get them a Capital spot. Of course that's why some are there. Parents started their plans when the kids were in the womb. And some of the plans will actually work, fair or not.

KJ and the old way of doing things is why Stars is in a free fall. Time to step aside and let the new leadership re energize the club.

You realize the girls all know about this forum and they are four stressful days from tryouts.

Hopefully not too many 8th graders are reading this. And it would be great if parents found ways to lessen the "stressful" days. There are plenty of ways to do that. And, yes, I have lived through it.
And blame the parents for all the backroom planning and scamming. Don't blame someone just pointing out the truth.

As a Stars parent i think the free fall had a lot more to do with KJ stepping back - she really isn't involved now until the 8th grade year.

Are most BLC girls staying at SR or headed to Visi? Heard from a parent that SR had a VERY strong showing for ISL MS lacrosse this year.

SR MS team was very good this Spring, but surprisingly, I heard they lost to Holton.

One or two stars light blue 2027s will make cap blue.
3-4 will make orange.
2 of those will choose other clubs over orange, because we we all saw the orange recruiting this year. It was poor.

A few of Prides top girls are trying out for Baltimore clubs as well. They will probably make them too. Capital 27 may be watered down a little compared to what was originally thought. Baltimore clubs are still #1

Really? According to another thread Cap 25 blue finished ahead of SW and Heros at G8. Balto clubs definitely not #1.

I think it is hilarious that you think they will make the Baltimore clubs. The Baltimore clubs are looking at girls from Florida, Colorado, Michigan, and California. If they wanted a DC girl, they would have grabbed her in middle school

How did the Orange Recruiting do poorly? Had like seven go D1 and another large group go to top D3 schools. The rest don’t want to play in college. So again, tell me how that is poor when it rivals Pride?

Cap 24 is a Top 10 team, but they have had several injuries this summer.

Cap 26 is going to be a top team next year. Always takes a minute for them to click

So, before you act like not being in the Top Ten is the be all, end all
