| I think I know, but who are the best 2027 teams in the DMV? My daughter's team is a little dysfunctional, and we are considering other options. She's a pretty good player, she's been playing since 4th grade. We are in the Falls Church area but can commute within an hour or so for the right opportunity. |

I heard Pride 27 have two new coaches

| Clubs have already had their tryouts for this year. Are you looking to switch teams now or during next tryout season in the summer? If you are looking to switch now, I am not sure if any of the top DMV teams have roster spots open. If you are looking to switch in the summer, you will be considering HS programs which may not necessarily be the best current middle school programs. |
Coaches are always looking for talent, especially because girls get injured, play multiple sports and have to miss tournaments etc. I’d email some of the coaches in the area they may have your daughter attend a practice or two to see if she’s a good fit. |
| Break out the mapquest directions and start making 495 and 95 your favorite. Go straight to a Maryland club, do not pass Go and don't look in the rear view mirror. |

| Sounds like a good reason not to go there. Resumes?? |
| I'd do everything you can to have your daughter tough it out until next summer's tryouts. Just about every team is a little dysfunctional. What is going wrong, she'll learn from the experience of working through difficulty. |
| Meant to say "Whatever is going wrong..." |
| Also, if you wait till summer, you really are not dealing with such a big commitment, just fall and summer tournaments. |
Not worth the drive for a player who OP describes as "pretty good". |
| I would stay away from VA Metro or 3d/VA Metro as they mostly have all dads and rec coaches. Just make sure to do your homework when choosing a club and most importantly, your daughter is happy. |

The best DMV team is Bethesda and it really isn't even close. Probably 7 goals better than Pride and 10 goals better than Stars.
But the best player inside the beltway plays for M&D |

Remember after this summer, this will be a massive realignment of club at this age.
All the best players from BLC, Stars and Pride plus a few others will be trying out for Capital. The result will be the remaining club will be gutted and probably not even top 50 in the country . Lots of kids moved clubs this summer in order to better position themselves for Capital tryouts. |
Maryland clubs now sounding desperate for players ... Plenty of great options nearby that feed to Capital. It's the area's best program that sends kids to great lax and academic schools. 80 kids tried out last year and it is very competitive. If she's good and makes the Blue team she'll one on a good path. |
