| I’m confused by this title. UVA is not a Top 20… |
| In fact I don’t know anyone who would consider UVA a top 20 school. This seems like a weirdly thought out ploy to boost UVA. |
The op does and so do I. You’re literally the same hater that comes on to every thread mentioning UVA to bash it. Definitely got rejected and still salty about it to this day, very sad. |
People move on but you’re talking about the high school football star. Lord you’re a moron. Played college sports myself. But hey, high school football is a really special achievement. Pretty cool sport for kids too. Good for the brain. Keeps the line of morons going. |
What? I don't come onto every thread mentioning UVA at all to bash it. I think you're confusing me with someone else. Weird. And how is it a Top 20? I can name at least 20 other schools that are better than UVA. Is there even a ranking list that exists anywhere that places UVA in the top 20? |
| I didn’t love Dean J myself. UVA is a fine school but way too full of itself. The out of State students are stars and so easy to get lost in the crowd. There are not 21K geniuses who graduated every year from UVA. Just do the math! |
| I don’t hate UVA but it’s not an Ivy. |
Sure….. |
Yea you’ve piped in before. We get it. You weren’t tough enough for football. Take your own advice and get over it already. |
UVA is #26 on USNWR. https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/uva-6968/overall-rankings People in this area - haters and lovers- are so weird about UVA. It’s a fine school. It’s selective. It’s very selective, but not Ivy selective. |
Not the pp, but you definitely give “peaked in high school” energy. It’s really sad, football used to give you confidence and now that it’s over you’re deeply insecure. Hence, why you say other people aren’t “tough enough” for football lol. |
You people really are seriously obtuse if that’s really how you interpreted that post. I’m in a room full of idiots I guess. |
| You have to play the game these days to get into an Ivy. My daughter is at an Ivy now and very happy. Her goal through HS was to go to one specific Ivy but we are not legacy and have no hooks and she almost had a nervous breakdown trying to check all the boxes to be considered a strong applicant. Other kids at her school aiming for top schools were all the same. You need to game the process as much as possible. I know parents who helped their kids set up non-profits or who used their connections to get their kids fancy internships. I’m amazed how easily admissions officers get impressed by all this crap. Parents involvement is pretty clear but the admissions folks clearly choose to look the other way. Also, the number of incredibly wealthy kids at my kid’s Ivy school is astounding to both of us. |
NP. OP seems chill, but you’re ready for a fight aren’t you? Relax. |
| UVA is a top 30 or top 40... why start with a misleading title? |
