literally the first response
FCV needs ECNL a lot more than ECNL needs FCV- why should they bother to admit them? |
I don’t understand the business model TSJ is working towards, but would think their soccer director (Doug Homer) would be pushing them to be in the ‘highest’ leagues since that should lead to more players and more dollars. |
What's more profitable. The 5 Loudoun ECNL teams or the 600 Loudoun Rec and travel teams. The money is not in ECNL. ECNL is just clout to recruit. |
I would think that more dollars would be more space rented, more campers, and more players for house leagues. I don't see how ECNL helps |
That’s barely burning a bridge |
| Doesn’t matter. They weren’t loyal to ECNL so ECNL has returned the favor. That’s the way it goes sometimes. |
Without detail they didn't get it; ECNL is unlikely to explain any of the denied applications. If FCV didn't apply for ECNL, you should be asking them why they didn't. |
This is all good for FCV if they can hold teams together and other Top GA teams implode or switch to ECNL they can waltz into GA national championship. |
| FCV = Radio Shack |
| College coaches probably want incoming recruits to be playing in meaningful competitive matches at the club level. Traveling hours to play NCSL level teams is less than ideal |
Please tell us who the other Top GA clubs they’re playing. I’ll wait |
| FCV = Pier 1 imports. |
Heard rumors of FCV, McLean, and Braddock Road merging?! FCV finally gets into ECNL!! Ongoing discussion that has just been confirmed. Check your emails soon parents! Watch out for your DD heard cuts are coming soon. |
That would be good for all of the clubs involved. Need to consolidate talent in this area. Competition is good for the clubs and the players. Bravo! |
