Skinny Minnie women how do you maintain your figure?

This is my observation as well. The thin people I know just eat less. Most are not depriving themselves, they just feel full faster.

I am heavy and hate the feeling of being hungry. I'd rather feel slightly "too full" than a little bit hungry.

You can train yourself to eat less, it takes about three weeks, but your mind adjusts to it. The secret is to wait until you are truly hungry and then eat exactly what you are craving, even if it’s junk. You teach your appetite to return to normal. But it requires really learning not be scared of hunger.

Lots of people lying here. Possibly to themselves as well.
"I eat everything! God made me that way!"
Yeah, no.
They are not eating as much as they think and they are lying. I assure you nobody eats 3000 calories per day and is 110 lbs. Unless they exercise some 4 hours per day.
Liars, one and all.
It is not the luck of the draw, they don't eat as much, the end.

This just isn't true for most who are very thin. Most of us do it by restricting food. CICO.

All these women claiming genetics are fooling themselves.

I agree with this - genetically thin person

LOL! How can you spew such nonsense and think people will take anything you say seriously? You are not a genetically thin person. You just don't eat as much as a heavy person.

So if it how God made you... how come you don't eat like a sumo wrestler and are still your size? Is it cause GOD had nothing to do with it? I mean you don't eat much, plain wrote it too!

I was thin until my mid-thirties, and I agree that you can "train" your appetite. But I do believe that I fundamentally have a larger appetite than my thinner friends, and I hate to exercise/workout. Large appetite and dislike of exercise is a double whammy. My happy place is reading a book in a comfy chair. In my 30's, I worked out like crazy and learned to be a little hungry all the time to stay thin. I just DGAF anymore.

DP - she said she has a small appetite. God made her appetite. That’s why she’s skinny. It’s not that complicated; some people are naturally in tune with their hunger cues. By the way, ALL babies are naturally “thin”, in the sense that their appetites are perfectly calibrated. They eat when they are hungry and stop when they are full, and don’t become overweight until an adult teaches them to ignore those cues and overeat.

That’s fair. I think it’s fine to not GAF about being thin. I really like being thin, but I hate obsessing over food, so I just studied naturally thin eaters for a long time and imitated them. Eventually “doing becomes being” and I am naturally thin now, too.

I'm the naturally skinny p.o. w 4 kids. 2 of my kids have severe eating issues as infants. One is long term on an appetite stimulant.

Its true I only eat pizza candy and chocolate (i don't like cake or cookies or bread)
But I also feel full quickly and don't over eat.

All my kids are slim. My parents are obese so I don't really know about genetics.

I do think my kids w feeding issues have what I have but much worse. They literally have no interest in eating or drinking without medication. I used to drink Ensure exclusively to live but I just didn't want to eat.

It’s very possible for babies to have feeding issues but appetite issues are extremely rare, because all infant animals have a survival instinct; when they are hungry, they will eventually cry. In fact, the opposite is true in the animal kingdom, too; wild animals don’t become obese, because they stop eating. Only humans and domestic pets have taught themselves to ignore their full signal.

Really? So no personal agency? No will of your own? So even not having an adult to overrides her hunger regulation was a gift from God? Or maybe....just maybe.... she knows when to put the fork down and has agency over her own choices and GOD had nothing to do with that either?

This is not true
My babies were small infants and didn't want to eat... Give them appetite stimulant and they eat just fine. So clearly it can happen.

And wild animals do become fat and overeat given the opportunity ask any zoo vet.

The poster said she eats what she wants because she doesn’t want much. That is by definition not discipline, it is following the natural appetite that governs your eating behavior. This is why comparing the experience of obese people with the naturally thin is analogous to comparing the occasional drinker with alcoholics; one requires zero discipline to stop drinking, the other experiences incredible urges to continue drinking.

They don’t. Look out your window and locate a single obese bird. Then look for an obese lizard. Then find an obese ant. It doesn’t happen.

What is wrong with all the fat squirrels and birds in my suburb then? And all those Maryland turkey vultures being as fat as they can get? Raccoons seem pretty hefty too!
