HBO The Undoing

Regardless, I would have cast people in their 40s as normal prep school parents.

Noah Jupe (actor who plays the son) is older than my son, who is 15.

IRL, these 2 have 5 children between them ages 7-12.

So real life people with kids ages 7-12 are too old to play HBO characters of a young teen?

That's exactly why Nicole Kidman (and Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington and other women) have to go out and get their own work if they want to be something other than a third string character in a show. Kidman optioned the books and produced The Undoing and Big Little Lies (and Nine Perfect Strangers in production now) to get the roles and tell stories of women over 50. Good for her.

Nicole Kidman and Matilde de Angelis represent women with textured hair, which we need to see more of in movies and tv.

Hugh Grant looks so much older as a Gastroenterologist.

"The name Reardon is synonymous with diversity."

Yes the hair!! In my fantasy life my curly hair looks like those ladies’ everyday.

I stayed up too late watching first two eps. Loved it - perfect escapism. I wish they would release whole thing so I could avoid election coverage tonight.

Also, their witty sexual banter is like watching grandparents flirt.

Also, leave it to David E. Kelly to have a completely naked woman who is stunning in a locker room in the first episode.

DH and I thought the naked woman looked like Hispanic Jennifer Lawrence.

I’m not sure I can get into this one. It’s supposed to be mocking the ultra-rich, this time in NYC, but it ends up glorifying them.

The actress is Matilde de Angelis. She is Italian, born in Bologna, Italy. She is playing the role of a Latino woman.

Hugh Grant was born in 1960.

Nicole Kidman was born in 1967.

The young actor who plays their son was born in 2005.

Nicole's character would have been 38 and Hugh Grant's character 45 when they had their son.

Is it unusual for people to become parents at 45 and 38?

Meghan Markle is 39. She had her baby at 37.

Such a dreamy lovely song for all the dark that’s about to come ...

Whatever I think they look like the kid’s grandparents, not his parents. I know rich people are older when they have kids.

And I applaud older women working and having parts in Hollywood, it just seems that these mega stars are in roles that are 10 years too old for them.

53 is not 43. And 60 is not 50.

And 15 is not 5.

Yes, and in real life, these actors have elementary school age children. Maybe produce your own series with young actors.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Fun fact: the building that is supposed to be the school is the same one used for the school in Gossip Girl. I grew up around the corner from there. It's really some sort of Russian Orthodox church building, it was always a mystery as to what goes on in there.

I love you, poster who wrote, “This is why we can't have nice things.”

Even though I’m the one who posted that Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant look old AF.

I stand by what I said. Carry on, all.

No, you said they were too old to play parents of a young teen. On that you’re wrong. Carry on y’all.
Let’s just enjoy.
