Wait - do you really think GP is a “minority woman”?? |
Well the PP called her "a Jewish woman" not me. |
|
She is not a practicing Jewish woman and she is insufferable. Her father may have been born Jewish and she may have been exposed to culturally Jewish elements during her childhood but that’s it. I believe her current husband is Jewish.
- a Jewish woman |
Well, she has rather identified as Jewish , at least in past interviews from years ago . And , if one didn't know her mom is wasp, the paltrow name—an anglosaxonized version—or attempt at anglosaxonizing of the name Paltrowicz ( her grandfather's name) should have been a clue. |
* Scratches head* |
Why in the world would I know her grandfather’s last name? She is just so basic and plain regardless of her background. |
If she identified as Jewish then why would she go by Paltrow? Anyway, Paltrowicz sounds Polish. |
|
She came out of a shiksa vagina, so newsflash she is not a Jew.
Also a Jew would not charge $75 for a vagina smelling candle and think it would sell. But she made a smart move marrying the new husband because can give her parts in his TV shows. I thought she did a great job on the politician on Netflix. I am still not buying her vagina candle though. |
| I find her insufferable because she constantly talks about how much she values her privacy yet yaks about shit like this. |
No. I had no idea her dad was Jewish and I find her insufferable. She clearly identifies as WASP not Jewish. |
| I have a relative who is very much like Gwyneth Paltrow, even has similar interests. I think people don’t realize how much of her weirdness is just a result of being very, very rich her whole life. She hangs out with rich people, lives around rich people, dates rich people, etc. Even her company only sells to rich people. People don’t understand how insulating that type of life is. There is a rich person confidence that can come across as tone-deaf because well...it is kind of. When you don’t know people outside of a certain class you come across weird to everyone else. And her obsession with no-filter! makeup-free! and farmers’ market is practically a prototype of that demographic by the way. |
I thought she was funny in the Politician too. She had that kind of dry humor that she had in The Royal Tennenbaums. I thought she seemed to be kind of making fun of herself and her real-life persona in Goop with some of her lines and how she played them in the Politician. |
Well, yeah, I know that. Even so. |
Yes it does, which is where grand parents immigrated from. |
I think the opposite. People do realize how insulating it, it’s just that she doesn’t. She tries to be relatable and vulnerable but she can’t help but want to e superior. |
