GA has potential but you are an idiot if you think it on par with ECNL. The mere fact that any GA team in the country would jump toECNL if it could. The only reason GA exists is that clubs weren't able to get into ECNL and had to save face.

another angry post. Calm down! GA exists because us soccer sucks and GA formed to take the place of what the disgrace of our national soccer governing body left. It couldn’t be simpler than that. It’s really not about ECNL at all. I personally think ECNL is stupid not to have made an attempt to persuade these very good programs to join in one, unified league, but that’s really their loss at the end of the day.

Their loss? The ECNL has made all the right moves all along. they could have any club they want on the girls side we all know this. Admitting they have made the right moves all along is something harder for the DA or should I say EX DA parents to admit.

As for College they are loosing federal and state funds by the millions. 33+ Million unemployed says enrollment will be way down and with less Football and Basketball tickets sold, funds for Title IX sports will be at record low levels. So when these coaches chose to spend their small dollars wisely searching for U16 and U17 talent across the nation next year do you really think they will be clamoring to watch U16 Salvo SC vs Philly Ukraine or U16 LAFC Slammers vs Ohio Elite? U17 West Florida Flames vs Rise SC or U17 PDA vs Michigan Hawks? Come on dude, we all know the answer. Lamorinda vs Utah Royals AZ or SLSG vs REAL Colorado. The list goes on and on.

How many of these clubs are going to survive a loss of a fall season? Loudoun is already admitting their financial troubles.

With unemployment approaching 30 million how many people will be able to afford “elite” soccer?

If college programs are getting decimated how many college coaches are available to look beyond the Champions League fields?

And yet you are here feeling the need to punch down on a 3rd tier league. Do you spend the same energy discussing NCSL, CCL or EDP?

People don’t spend this much time on something they are not worried about on some level. Just be happy with your decision and let people make theirs. How fragile is your ego that you feel the need to rub a soccer league in someone’s face?

I’m sorry that players didn’t flock in huge numbers to improve your team. Perhaps you should spend more time worrying about the quality of your team than trying to sell the credibility based on league affiliation.

GAL will be dead in a year. It was formed to keep you guys in place or else the club would lose money. FCV and MU would collapse. It was spearheaded by the arrogant people at Tophat.
