Your team will NEVER play any club on that list outside of your own division. Again, tell us about how awesome YOUR team is not how awesome clubs 3000 miles away are.

My kids team has played teams from every corner of this country. Cal, Tx, FL, NY, Mass, Ill, MI, GA, WA...etc.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that you failed to mention if your kids team played against any of the clubs on the above list. That is the point. If your team is not regularly playing against the clubs on the list then you are not getting a significant recruiting advantage. The same schools who are going to your North America or Showcase level games will also go to GAL showcases.

Top College coaches are drawn to quality clubs that they have relationships with and have recruited from for years. The patch does not blind them to window shop your 150th nationally ranked team.

Thanks FCV staff. However, not even you guys believe your own sales pitch.

The messenger doesn’t change the truth of the message.

Does your team regularly play against ANY of the clubs on the list? If so, I’d bring my kid to your team.

Please tell me more about your team that is competitive against those top 35 clubs.

1. You'll bring your kid to my team to do what?
2. My kids team played, and beat, 5 teams that are at clubs on the above top 35 list

Next

Ohhh! Very exciting!! And that team would be? I’d like for my kid to tryout.

Tell us about yours. I'll advise further

Why does my club matter?

Does it not?

Why does my club matter to you regarding my kid joining your team?

Because, your full of.....

Look, I want kid on the best team in the best league. Tell me more about your team. It is obviously in the best league.

Give me an age group. I'll help you out.

I’m asking you about YOUR team.

Its not GAL, as in Girls Academy League

Its GA, as in Girls Academy

GA is a tier in DPL, as in the Development Players League

DPL was for DA second teams. Much like ECNL-R

You're welcome

Thank you for that.

Sure looks like it is GAL to me. https://www.girlsacademyleague.com/

NEW TIER CALLED THE GIRLS DEVELOPMENT LEGAUE. So, fine, its a league inside a league, but not really because its a tier within a league. Wait

The DPL was initially launched to provide a second tier to the U.S. Soccer Girls Development Academy (DA). Providing the same training environment as the DA, the idea was to enable an easy transition for advancement.

Highly popular and well respected, the DPL worked well for the clubs participating and will now be restructured and enhanced. A new tier, the Girls Academy League, has been created by the DPL to provide an opportunity for former Girls DA Clubs offers to fill the void left by the DA.

Ok. I posted big news was coming out of Texas. However, I didn't expect this. Lol. GA with big pickups

FC Dallas (TX-N), Houston Dash (TX-S), Solar Soccer Club (TX-N), D’Feeters Kicks Soccer Club (TX-N) and Dallas Texans Soccer Club (TX-N).

AND

national league model is being redesigned...and I think. they are going for those DA teams

Your an idiot. That league has been there for the past two years. They put their 3rd teams there. Solar for example had DA and ECNL (1st / 2nd team) and then their "base" teams in the FDL. D'Feeters, Texans, Solar are ECNL already (link below). Solar's first team just slides over to ECNL. D'Feeters were never DA. FC Dallas used to be ECNL, and word from TX soccer boards as of yesterday the FC dallas will be switching back to ECNL. Dash is on the outside looking in and going GA most likely as legacy DA team.

This may be for these clubs’ B teams, since it references two previous seasons and the word “continue”...

The only teams in this area that would have beaten 5 of the top 35 OTHER than FCV, would be VDA 06 or McLean oldest team. And McLean wasn’t this past year.

Anonymous wrote:Look, this is not an ideal situation for those who were in DA. But, we are trying to make the best of it. And like always, there will be some great clubs in the GA and some duds. This is what I know:

1. Some of the better players will leave.
2. Some players will stay because they like their coach and believe they are developing because of him/her.
3. If a college coach is interested in a player, they will follow that player, no matter the league. (Heard this from a Georgetown coach on our team Zoom call last week).
4. College ID camps will be important.

DD likes her coach so she will stay. She likes her team. We are hoping the majority stay. We think they will lose 2-3 players.

Such an great and honest post. Obviously you and your DD are extremely Secure in yourself as well as your daughters decision to move forward with the GA. I really mean this. I honestly believe she will do very well in that landscape and with you as a parent. So much luck to her future. This post has so much truth and many of the people posting on this thread should take notice of the maturity. Yes my DD is ECNL no I don’t care who is in GA and I hope all landscapes offer great competition for these girls to get ready for college.
