So what? If true tiering were done, no club in this area would deserve 1st tier compared to CA and TX clubs. They'd all be GAL, or in some cases worse.

Stop carrying CA's jock strap.

That's right. Get aggressive. I posted facts. The poster above posted wrong information. And here you are, whining.

Talk about YOUR team and why any kid in the area would want to be on it. Talking up a league with clubs 3000 miles away isn’t the way to sell YOUR team.

When all you have is to prop up clubs thousands of miles away versus what is in our own back yard only proves that the choice of league here is irrelevant.

Looks like 3 good clubs in MA, and 5 meh clubs. FCV, ARL, and CS are competitive. BA will probably lose some talent to Pipeline, and MU, SJEB, PAC, and the PUKR teams are questionable.

CS is not competitive.

Soccerwire is a well documented pro-ECNL megaphone that is paid by mostly ECNL teams, and I would bet by ECNL itself.

Evidenced by the fact that Beach and Legends are GA as well and will be putting top teams in that league not ECNL RL

Is that fact? I read somewhere that they would be ECNL RL, so they could still participate in ECNL playoffs.

So 35 clubs top 100 for ECNL. DA had 7.. all you proved was ECNL has top talent lol.

Southern CA has more teams on that list than the Mid Atlantic has teams. Get over yourself. In this region that you actually play in the soccer is average.

Your team will NEVER play any club on that list outside of your own division. Again, tell us about how awesome YOUR team is not how awesome clubs 3000 miles away are.

If I'm allocating limited resources on scouting, all this list tells me is that scouting ECNL first (or only) will provide the best value. What is missing is the number of overall teams to scout as well, which also favors ECNL. ECNL showcases are likely to be much more heavily attended by college scouts.

If staying at a GA team keeps your team together with coaches you like, that's great. To maximize your recruiting potential, however, you know in your heart of hearts that now ECNL is the better option. Do you know of any ex-DA club that was offered full ECNL, but didn't take it? I don't know of a single one that opted for GA, if they had a choice.

LOL That only works if your team is actually playing against the clubs on the list. Playing at a complex 5 miles away does not draw the same scouts.

You fundamentally don’t understand how and why ECNL tiers the showcases.

So one more time. Tell us about YOUR team not the league. What is going to draw scouts to your team.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that you failed to mention if your kids team played against any of the clubs on the above list. That is the point. If your team is not regularly playing against the clubs on the list then you are not getting a significant recruiting advantage. The same schools who are going to your North America or Showcase level games will also go to GAL showcases.

Top College coaches are drawn to quality clubs that they have relationships with and have recruited from for years. The patch does not blind them to window shop your 150th nationally ranked team.
