Your team will NEVER play any club on that list outside of your own division. Again, tell us about how awesome YOUR team is not how awesome clubs 3000 miles away are.

My kids team has played teams from every corner of this country. Cal, Tx, FL, NY, Mass, Ill, MI, GA, WA...etc.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that you failed to mention if your kids team played against any of the clubs on the above list. That is the point. If your team is not regularly playing against the clubs on the list then you are not getting a significant recruiting advantage. The same schools who are going to your North America or Showcase level games will also go to GAL showcases.

Top College coaches are drawn to quality clubs that they have relationships with and have recruited from for years. The patch does not blind them to window shop your 150th nationally ranked team.

Thanks FCV staff. However, not even you guys believe your own sales pitch.

The messenger doesn’t change the truth of the message.

Does your team regularly play against ANY of the clubs on the list? If so, I’d bring my kid to your team.

Please tell me more about your team that is competitive against those top 35 clubs.

What is missing is the number of overall teams to scout as well, which also favors ECNL. ECNL showcases are likely to be much more heavily attended by college scouts.

If staying at a GA team keeps your team together with coaches you like, that's great. To maximize your recruiting potential, however, you know in your heart of hearts that now ECNL is the better option. Do you know of any ex-DA club that was offered full ECNL, but didn't take it? I don't know of a single one that opted for GA, if they had a choice.

LOL That only works if your team is actually playing against the clubs on the list. Playing at a complex 5 miles away does not draw the same scouts.

You fundamentally don’t understand how and why ECNL tiers the showcases.

So one more time. Tell us about YOUR team not the league. What is going to draw scouts to your team.

Funny how you avoid the question: Do you know of any ex-DA club that was offered full ECNL, but didn't take it? I don't know of a single one that opted for GA, if they had a choice. College scouts know the same thing, too, and the reason why.

2. My kids team played, and beat, 5 teams that are at clubs on the above top 35 list

Look, this is not an ideal situation for those who were in DA. But, we are trying to make the best of it. And like always, there will be some great clubs in the GA and some duds. This is what I know:

1. Some of the better players will leave.
2. Some players will stay because they like their coach and believe they are developing because of him/her.
3. If a college coach is interested in a player, they will follow that player, no matter the league. (Heard this from a Georgetown coach on our team Zoom call last week).
4. College ID camps will be important.

DD likes her coach so she will stay. She likes her team. We are hoping the majority stay. We think they will lose 2-3 players.

Thank you

Its not GAL, as in Girls Academy League

Its GA, as in Girls Academy

GA is a tier in DPL, as in the Development Players League

DPL was for DA second teams. Much like ECNL-R

You're welcome

Thank you for that.
