It may have been here in the U.S. already. It's easy for a flu-like virus to hide during flu season. |
Many more travelers from China to the US than fromxountries that we’re affected by Ebola. This seems pretty threatening. How did they handle SARS all those years ago? |
Here’s what’s truly alarming, Wuhan ha a level 4 lab for bio containment. For viruses!

How is that hysterical? It is actually a fairly logical response. Yes, it would pose a burden. But a far less burden then prohibiting travel. |
You guys, my DH was in contact with a couple folks from japan last week for work. Yesterday he started having a very dry raspy cough and felt fatigued. No fever yet, but will check when he wakes up.
If he starts to have a fever, where should he go to check if he has this virus? ER right? |
Japan is not where this virus is from. It is from China like the SARS virus.
|
Not a chance. That’s going to be the excuse though |
It’s spread to Japan but very limited at this point |
Colleges need to be on high alert - Chinese students returning to American colleges from winter break... |
Should add it is okay to ask questions but confusing Japan with China is intensive. Traveling from China is relevant.
We have a doctor in the family who works on this stuff and this is real and needs to be contained and it will. CDC should continue to share information on how to contain. |
Maybe let your Congressperson know that? |
It's in Australia now. |
CDC can only contain if China actually shares info. I would stop flights from wuhan to the us. But no one will do that. Too much money at stake |
Why can't they quarantine travelers going to and coming from? |
I live in Dem Virginia and my kid goes to school in Dem Massachusetts. They won’t even blink over this. Frankly? This should be common knowledge already and any ignorance is for political reasons. The health services at my kid’s college is excellent and they are already on high alert. |
